Invincible VS alpha male Rex Splode is now available as DLC with no clothes.
The character’s ‘Towel Skin’ will set you back $9.99/£7.99, and includes four colour variations as well as some player profile accoutrements.
The blurb reveals the following:
“Relive the most intimate moments in Guardians of the Globe history with the Towel Skin for Rex Splode. Based on the notorious locker room lovers’ quarrel, this Skin features more of Rex than anyone ever asked for. What it lacks in practicality, it makes up for with dashing good looks.”
Fittingly, the trailer shows the character getting pummeled by both Atom Eve and Dupli-Kate, which should feel extra satisfying while he’s dressed like this.
While the trailer gags there’s “nothing micro about this transaction”, though, the price is outrageous really.
There are also alternate looks for the likes of Conquest and Battle Beast which cost just as much, although inexplicably one for Allen the Alien is available for $4.99/£3.99.
When you consider the price of the full game itself, charging a fifth of the whole thing for a single skin seems a bit out of control to us.
