What price Rockstar will go for when launching GTA 6 has been a hot topic for some time now, with many speculating the studio will push the boat and go beyond $70. However, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said only last week that it’s the firm’s job to “charge way, way, way less of the value delivery”.
As developers offer multiple versions of a game for pre-order, there’s a possibility the base version of GTA 6 will remain a $70 title, but Rockstar could offer more expensive versions bundling in additional content and online currencies. GTA Online is a huge source of revenue now for the company, so it could entice customers into a $100 version by offering them a deal on multiplayer money from the outset.
