After 13 games on the PS4, publisher Activision has confirmed this year’s Call of Duty release won’t be launching on the last-gen system. That means last year’s Black Ops 7 was its last, as one of the last remaining consistent franchises for the console stops its support in 2026.
There was a rumour over the weekend that this year’s Call of Duty game actually was in development for PS4, but the franchise’s official social media channels have denied that claim. “Not sure where this one started, but it’s not true,” it said. “The next Call of Duty is not being developed for PS4.”
