Tati Gabrielle is doing media for the Mortal Kombat 2 movie, where she plays Jade.
But unsurprisingly, she’s been asked by IGN about her role in Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, where she stars as protagonist Jordan A. Mun.
Gabrielle, ever the professional, answered the question without revealing much – but she did tease that she believes the title will reveal a “different side” to dev Naughty Dog.
Here’s the quote in full:
“I’m [jazzed for fans to see] literally all of it. I’m excited to play [as] myself. I think it’s such a different side of Naughty Dog that I think people are going to get really excited for. It seems they’ve even challenged themselves in ways of world building. So yeah, that’s all I’m going to say – but I’m super stoked.”
Even though she doesn’t say much, we’re intrigued by this quote. She’s certainly implying that Intergalactic will have a fresh and different vibe to the likes of Uncharted and The Last of Us, which is exciting.
Obviously, we know Uncharted was more of a globe-trotting happy-go-lucky affair, while The Last of Us was more grounded and dark. It’ll be interesting to see what Naughty Dog does with this sci-fi story.
We’re also fascinated by her comments about world building. We know Gabrielle’s character is a bounty hunter who lands on a planet named Sempiria while tracking a crime syndicate named the ‘Five Aces’. But that’s about it!
Apparently, Sempiria is a planet no one’s ever escaped from, and so it’s going to be interesting to experience it through the protagonist’s eyes. What’s down there? Why does no one ever escape? It’s all very intriguing and mysterious, isn’t it?
