Crimson Desert has a lot of puzzles you will need to solve if you want to improve your character’s weapon and skills. While many can be found exploring the open world, others are tied to floating islands in the sky.
One of the earlier Abyss puzzles you can encounter is after completing the Spire of Insight. Dubbed the “Chaos Forest,” here is how to complete this puzzle and what you get for your troubles.
Chaos Forest Puzzle Solution
When you arrive at the Chaos Forest, approach the large stone door in front of you and perform the Nature’s Grasp move to lift it up. Enter the main island, but be careful where you step as there are thorn bushes everywhere. If you have the Flame Strike ability unlocked, use it on the thorn bushes to your right and over the large pool of water.
For those who don’t have this ability, you can always use your Blinding Flash. Just hold down the Left Bumper and Right Bumper before hitting and holding down the Left Bumper again. This will let you direct a beam of sunlight at the thorns, which, after a few seconds, will catch fire and burn away!
Once you’ve cleared the thorns, look down at the lower platform on your right to find an Abyss Core that’s on fire. Grab it with your Axiom Force and carefully move it to the pool of water. Dunk the Abyss Core into the water to cool it off, and then place it in the slot you exposed when the thorns were destroyed. Force Palm strike the core to slot it in to restore power before jumping across the gap to the other side.
After crossing the gap, hang a left into the side room and once again burn away the two sets of thorns. Go to where the large collection of thorns was and approach the wall to find another section you can perform Nature’s Grasp on. Lift it up and step inside to find a second Abyss Core. Place it into the slot in this small room, and then grab one of the column pieces on the ground.
Pick up a column piece and carry it over to the door you entered through. Lift the door with Nature’s Grasp once more and then place the column under where the door would fall. This will cause the door to not close fully, but more importantly, continue the power connection from the room you’re in to the switch outside.
You’ll only need to put one of the column pillars down to ensure the door is high enough to establish a connection, and it doesn’t really matter where you put the column. Just ensure the column is upright when you place it!
Head back to where the switch is and use Force Palm strike on the switch to activate it and complete the Chaos Forest puzzle. Now climb up to the floor above you to grab an Abyss Artifact by the altar. You can continue exploring by heading right from the altar down to the triangular gate. This will summon a podium you can use Axiom Force on to create a series of platforms you can take to the next main Abyss puzzle.
