There are two ways to cheese a boss fight; you either use the game’s world against the boss, or the game’s mechanics. In Crimson Desert, it’s a bit of both. For instance, cheesing the archery contest requires you to place floating cores in the right spot, and another boss cheese requires you to slam tree trunks on top of them. Both of them use traversal mechanics and things found in the game’s world of Pywel.
However, if there are no trees around, it seems there is another way for you to cheese boss fights, perhaps those found in the Abyss or other such areas. It’s pretty simple, actually, but requires a bit of preparation. All you need to do is get some bumblebees, release them, and not get hit while they do the work.
Not The Bees!
As showcased by Zephryss on Twitter (via Gamers Club), if you come upon a boss that you’re struggling with, and there will be a lot, you can release a few captured bumblebees which will do steady DOT damage to them. Of course, it will take some time to deplete their health bar, so you can’t just stand around doing nothing.
You can find bees around beehives in trees. Just chop the tree down, and you’ll be able to catch a few of them. It’s a great tactic to keep the boss’ health bar draining while you stay a safe distance away and only commit to attacking when you’re sure. It might not be too effective against some late game bosses, though.
However, if you don’t want to carry around a bunch of bees with you, you can always use the Beehive Club. As its name suggests, it’s a cub with a beehive at the end of it that releases bees and does the same thing. The only difference is that you can capture way more bees if you’re willing to take the time and effort. Unfortunately, the Beehive Club is a random drop upon destroying beehives, so you’ll have to work for it.
