There is also an early download bonus that does not require a code. If you start playing before May 8, you will automatically receive a Dragonite along with 100 Quick Coupons. Since this reward is tied to simply logging in during the launch window, you do not need to interact with the Mystery Gift system to receive this.

How To Unlock Mystery Gifts
To unlock Mystery Gifts, you will need to play through the opening portion of the game. This includes completing Cordy’s initial training, recruiting your first Pokemon, and finishing your first Ranked Battle. Once that is done, you can access Mystery Gifts from the main menu.
From there, open the Submenu at the bottom of the screen, scroll down to Mystery Gifts, and enter your code. If it is valid, your reward will be sent directly to your Mailbox, found on your main menu screen, for you to claim.
