New Star Fox Will Reportedly Be Announced This Month

After claiming that a new Star Fox game is going to be released this year, a reliable insider has now reported that it’s going to be revealed at some point this month.

Up until this month, it’s been a long time since Star Fox fans had anything to get excited about. The last entry in the series was 2016’s divisive Star Fox Zero and, aside from returning for Smash Ultimate, Fox McCloud hasn’t really been heard from since then. That all changed with the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which Fox has a surprisingly big role in.

That was already a treat after such a long dry spell, but things really got exciting when reliable insider NateTheHate claimed that a new Star Fox game is in development and planned to be released this year. It looks like the Star Fox hype train isn’t slowing down any time soon, though, as the new game is apparently being revealed very soon.

April Will Be Like Christmas For Fox McCloud Fans

As pointed out by My Nintendo News, NateTheHate recently gave a bit more information about the new Star Fox game while replying to a comment on Twitter. In the tweet, Nate says that Star Fox will be announced this month, either through Nintendo Today, like Splatoon Raiders, or through Twitter.

When asked for more information on the timing of the announcement, Nate said that he wasn’t interested in giving specifics, but it’s still very interesting to know that the Star Fox game could be announced in the next few weeks. Nate previously said it’s planned to release at some point this year, so it sounds like it’s quietly been in the works for quite some time.

Even though the announcement is coming a lot earlier than most of us expected, it’s not too surprising considering Nintendo likely wants to keep riding the Fox McCloud hype wave from the Mario Galaxy Movie. We’ll have to wait and see what ends up happening over the next few weeks, but one thing is for certain – it’s never been a better time to be a Star Fox fan.
