If you want to survive the harsh world of Crimson Desert, you will need to obtain Abyss Artifacts. Acting as the game’s skill points, this consumable allows you to not only unlock skills and improve Kliff’s stats, but also acts as a key upgrade material for refining your gear. While you can obtain these artifacts in several different ways, one of the most consistent methods is by solving puzzles in the Abyss.
One of these puzzles is the Disconnected Truth, which is a large floating diamond in the sky that you can locate after completing a series of other Abyss islands. Here is how to solve this puzzle so you can nab yourself an Abyss Artifact for your efforts.
Disconnected Truth Puzzle Solution
When you arrive at the small island across from the large diamond-shaped island, you will want to activate the Abyss Gate and then approach the edge of this platform. Below you, there will be a fan that is pointing towards the island. Hop off your platform and activate your glide over the fan to launch yourself at the small opening at the base of the main structure.
Upon entering the first chamber, look a little bit to the right of the main podium in the center of the room. You should see a disconnected wire lying on the ground that you can fix. Approach the yellow conduit in the large cable and press your interact button to reestablish power to the island. Now step onto the podium and let it raise you up to the next floor of this puzzle.
Wait until the sides of the island open up and look for a yellow circular switch next to two other switches that are inactive. Remember this location for later and approach the only lit-up switch. Use Axiom Force on it to establish power to that cable and then turn right from the switches. You are looking for a hole in the floor in a little side alcove (shown above) that you drop down into.
Before heading right when you drop, look to your left to find a small gap you can squeeze under by crouch walking. Inside this side room will be a treasure chest containing a Faded Abyss Artifact and, more importantly, an Insight Level 3 Abyss Gear. This will give any weapon Critical Rate Level 3 on it, which is one of the best weapon Abyss Gears in the game!
In the underground section, follow the path until you make the first turn to the right. In the connected hall, a few feet from the turn, you will see another disconnected conduit that you need to interact with to reroute power. Do so, and continue following the cables until you need to climb out of the underground and go up some stairs.
Once you’ve reached the top of the stairs, look at the large inverted triangle. Along the right side of it, there will be a glowing blue Abyss Core you can grab. Hop onto the platform near it, perform a double jump by pressing R3 when you’re in the air, and glide close to it. Now use Axiom Force while in the air to snatch the Abyss Core and move it closer to the walkways surrounding the inverted triangle.
You’ll need to then bring this Abyss Core to the large column that has a wheel on either side of it. Place the Abyss Core in front of the slot and use Force Palm to push it in place. This will restore power to the center switch on the ground floor, which you can activate by hitting it with Axiom Force.
From the switches on the first floor, look left this time, and just outside the alcove, you’ll see a conduit on the floor which you can interact with to reconnect both sides of the cables. When this is done, look into the alcove and use your Axiom Force to wrench off the square Abyss Core that is attached to the column. Move this core up to the floor above via the gap in the alcove roof and climb up after it.
Directly from the hole above where you got this Abyss Core, you’ll see another large machine that has a slot for the Abyss Core on its right side. There will be a spotlight shining on where you need to put the core, so it shouldn’t be difficult to locate. Additionally, once you use Force Palm to push the core into place, there will be one more conduit right in front of this machine you need to fix (circled above).
Doing this will establish power to the final of the three switches. Activate that switch with Axiom Force to turn on the large central switch above the smaller ones you’ve been hitting. Climb up to it and use Force Palm to press in the large switch and complete the puzzle. Now all you need to do is climb up the inverted triangle platforms to reach the altar at the top, where the Abyss Artifact spawned.
