With a fairytale aesthetic, both in the game’s artstyle and its overall game design, Cinderia is a joyful little roguelite pulling heavily from the likes of Hades, though with plenty of unique twists of its own.
One of the earlier bosses you’ll have to take down is the Darkmoon Court Fairy Queen. When you’re in the midst of it, it seems like there’s a lot going on. But in reality, her moveset is incredibly limited.
Where Is Darkmoon Court Fairy Queen Fought?
Like the fairies of folklore, the Fairy Queen is found in the depths of the forest, the final boss of the Lightless Forest. This is the secon region of the game, right after the Ashen Adjudicator.
As the rooms provided to you are random and you can never guarantee quite when you’ll hit the final room, make sure you’re well-prepared in advance of this boss fight. You can guarantee you’ll have a shop to stock up at.

Cinderia’s first boss will still put you through your paces.
Darkmoon Court Fairy Queen Moveset
The Darkmoon Court Fairy Queen is all about running. You have to basically always be on the move. This does make her comparatively weak compared to other bosses, though her moves make it hard to get a hit in.
Phase One
In her first phase, the Fary Queen is still very fast, but bombards you with fewer attacks. She also likes to summon other fairies to make sure you can’t focus on just her.

Radial Spin |
The boss glows orange before performing an attack that hits all around her. This also summons large butterflies that follow you and explode when touched, leaving behind a mist that obscures your view. |
|
Small Fairy Summon |
At times, the boss will summon a series of small butterflies that fly in a single direction before disappearing. |
|
Enemy Summon |
The boss summons a group of small Fairy enemies, who can also summon butterflies. This do respawn, but are stil worth taking down to clear up some projectiles. |
Phase Two
There’s not a clear point at which Phase Two begins. Instead, the Fairy Queen’s moveset will expand seamlessly, though it will be obvious from the moves.

The boss summons 1-2 clones of themselves. They can perform all the same attacks, though attacking them deal no damage to the boss. |
|
Aerial Rain |
The boss will place targets on the ground, where moments later magical blasts will land. This chase you, so you must outpace them. The boss can also perform this attack with their clones, massively increasing the amount of projectiles. |
|
Fairy Burst |
The boss sends out a large burst of small fairies from their hand, which spread out in a wide arc. They do not follow you. |
How To Beat Darkmoon Court Fairy Queen
The key to battling the Fairy Queen is to keep on the move. This makes ranged attacks very helpful, so make sure you’ve picked up plenty of Skills and Abilities that empower them. Rivet is very useful here as her cannons can attack the boss autonomously, or take out the weaker enemies.
Having the second dash is incredibly helpful here as you’ll be constantly on the move. Aerial Rain, while hard to dodge, is also a great time for hit-and-run attacks. As you’re dashing around, make sure to land attacks on the boss. As the Aerial Rain chases you, you can effectively circle the boss while continually attacking for consistent damage.
While the smaller enemies do consistently respawn, they are still worth taking down as you pass them. The arena will consistently be filled with a massive amount of projectiles, so cutting down on the number of them will make it easier to stay alive.
After this, you should have the Fairy Queen beaten, and ready to progress on to the Mines.
