If there’s one thing Persona fans have been especially good at, it’s patience. Because after Persona 5 released in 2017, they’ve not seen a new title in the near-decade since. Instead, they’ve been treated to the usual plethora of spin-offs and crossovers, with the added bonus of a Persona 3 Remake and an announcement for a Persona 4 remake in the form of Persona 4 Revival.
Alas, patience has once again reigned supreme, because since being announced in June 2025, there’s not been a single peep about when to expect Persona 4 Revival. Normally, that would be pretty worrying, and especially so considering that 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Persona as a franchise, but such is life as a Persona fan.

I Hope Persona 4 Revival Makes Me The Die-Hard Series Fan I’ve Always Wanted To Be
Everyday sure is great at your Junes, but will Persona 4 Revival finally be what makes me like more about P4 than just that jingle?
However, after a no-show at the most recent Xbox Partner Preview Showcase, it appears we might have our first real inclination as to when P4 Revival will release, and that’s thanks to a Funko Pop?
Yeah, we can’t believe it either.
This Funko! Pop Rumor Might Be The Saving Grace For Thousands Of Persona Fans
As first shared on Reddit, social media user The Scarlet Joker, a Funko Pop connoisseur and sometimes leaker, has shared that vinyl figures based on P4 Revival are set to release in Early 2027.
Normally, merchandise and other knickknacks are meant to coincide with the release of something major, or at least debut shortly thereafter. That has fans thinking that P4 Revival is either really destined to be a 2027 title, if not extremely late into 2026.
It’s worth noting that sometimes these Funko “leaks” are really just educated guesses based off whatever is popular at the time or upcoming, what would make sense as a vinyl figure and a guesstimated release date. Of course, a lot of these end up being true, and a good portion are also reported using SKU information.
As one social media user pointed out, the idea of Funko being the leaker in the end for Persona 4 Revival and not Sega is pretty hilarious. The franchise most known for its mass amount of collabs, merch and other silliness having its marquee game leaked because of said silliness is an ending truly fit for Persona and Sega.
I think I speak on behalf of all Persona fans when I say: please give us some new information, Sega. It’s been far too long.
