How To Get Every Ending In Life Is Strange: Reunion

How To Get Every Ending In Life Is Strange: Reunion

At the end of Life Is Strange: Reunion, Chloe and Max have a conversation backstage at a gig. Then, they walk out of the place before the credits roll, and you receive a photo montage. That montage depicts what happens to the duo after the events of the game.

The exact photos in that montage and what happens during the conversation between Chloe and Max depend on you. It’s all down to your actions and choices. Here is an explanation of all the endings and how to get them.

What Impacts The Endings

Deciding whether to burn a photo of Max Life is Strange Reunion.

One of the main things that impacts the ending is whether you’re able to save everyone during the game. You have the chance of saving Safi, Jeannette, Owen, Loretta, Vinh, Noelle, Anthony, and various unseen students.

You can try to save most of them from the Observatory fire, but Safi and Vinh need to be saved from themselves. This is a full guide on accomplishing that. If you let even one of them die, then it alters what endings you can get.

The other thing that impacts the ending is a decision you make right at the end of the game during the Partners In Time scene.

As Chloe, you read a letter from Moses that includes a photo Max took from before the fire. You have the choice whether to give it to Max or burn it. Your decision heavily impacts the ending.

Fail To Save Everyone And Burn The Photo

Chloe stood with Joyce in Life is Strange Reunion.

If you don’t save everyone and burn the picture, then Max will have no idea that she could’ve gone back and saved everyone. Therefore, she doesn’t feel much guilt about the situation and seems happy with Chloe.

The photo montage at the end shows the two returning to Arcadia Bay, visiting the old Junkyard, and seeing Joyce again.

This can’t be classed as the best ending since at least one person must be dead. That said, it’s a solid conclusion for Max and Chloe since they remain together.

Fail To Save Everyone And Give Max The Photo

By handing Max the photo after failing to save everyone, you give her the chance to go back. Chloe is worried about this since she thinks she may lose Max because of it.

Based on the final photo montage, Max initially seems to resist the temptation to go back. However, she is Max Caulfield, so she can’t help but try to save people.

Therefore, she does end up going back, but it doesn’t show whether or not Max succeeds in saving everyone on her second try.

What it does show is that Chloe is alone again. Max does find another version of Chloe, though, and they embrace.

While it isn’t an outright ‘bad’ ending, it isn’t exactly good either. After all, the games make it clear that Max continually tampering with time can cause real problems. Plus, the Chloe that you controlled during the game will miss Max.

Save Everyone And Burn The Photo

There isn’t anything really different between burning the photo when everyone survived and doing it when someone died. Both the scene and photo montage are the same. So, Max and Chloe still return to Arcadia Bay and see Joyce again.

However, the emotional weight of not handing over the photo isn’t felt as much in this version since everyone survived anyway. You’re just keeping things from Max for no reason.

It’s still a solid ending for the duo, regardless.

Save Everyone And Give Max The Photo

Even though they’ve saved everyone, Chloe is still worried that, when she hands over the photo, Max may want to go back in time to stop the fire in the first place.

So, the cutscene is similar to the one you see if you give her the picture without saving anyone. Yet, the photo montage at the end is different.

With everyone saved, Max decides not to go back. She still gets tempted at first, but in the last pic, you see her ready to burn the photo.

This is arguably the ‘good’ ending since it’s the one where Max finally lets go of the past and chooses not to mess with time. This serves as a fitting conclusion to her arc. However, she and Chloe don’t go to Arcadia Bay, which is a bit of a shame.
