As you get to chapter five in Crimson Desert, you won’t be able to progress the main story until you save a witch from a house and then meet her at her home. Meeting Elowen will let you continue the story, and it will also unlock a faction mission to cleanse four sanctums at different locations in Hernand.
Most of these sanctums can be found near locations you’ve visited in one of the chapters before, so they’re easy to reach. However, the Sanctum of Benediction might take you to an entirely unexplored area, and you’ll have to brave through a lot of mountains to reach it.
Where To Find The Sanctum Of Benediction
When you fully zoom the map of Crimson Desert out, you’ll be able to see Hernand written in bold letters as it’s one of the main regions of the game. If you’re looking for the Sanctum of Benediction, you can find it right underneath the E of Hernand on this map. This is likely an area you haven’t been to yet if you’re trying to cleanse the sanctums as soon as you got their quest.
To get here, the best thing you can do is start from the Hernand city and move north a little. After that, you can move straight in the western direction when you’re just below where Hernand is written on the map. You’ll have to cross a few mountains here, so you might not be able to ride your horse all the way.

How To Cleanse The Sanctum Of Benediction
Once you reach the Sanctum Of Benediction, you’ll realize that a major issue here is that it’s covered with snow, which means that you’ll likely feel cold unless you have some ice-resistant clothing. This will increase your stamina consumption and reduce regeneration, which can make it a little more difficult to fight.
The first thing you have to do here is defeat enough enemies to liberate the sanctum. Once that’s done, you can find the missing cube for the main mechanism as you move south from its location. Go down some stairs and you’ll find the cube floating in the room to your right.
If you’re struggling with enemies, you can also use this room to isolate them and defeat them one by one.
For the missing pillar part, you’ll see its icon to the southwest of the main mechanism, and the secret door that unlocks the room with this pillar part can be seen on the southern side easily. When you’re close to this door, light up a nearby lantern to open it. Take both parts to the main mechanism and attach them using Axiom Force and Force Palm.
This will cleanse the Sanctum Of Benediction and finish this part of the quest.
