We got a sneak peek at what Pokemon and Puma had been working on to celebrate the former’s 30th anniversary via some Pikachu-themed All-Pro Nitro 2 sneakers. Now the entire Night & Day collection has been revealed, and there’s a lot more than just Pikachu stuff up for grabs.
Puma Reveals Its Pokemon Night & Day Collection
At the core of Puma’s Night & Day collection are four new sneaker designs, each themed after a different Pokemon (thanks, Modern Notoriety). Pikachu has managed to land itself a second pair of shoes to celebrate Pokemon’s birthday, courtesy of Puma. These are reimagined Fade Nitro sneakers, yellow and black all over, to match Pikachu, with the mascot’s face hanging from the laces via a pendant.
Mimikyu, the Pokemon that wishes it was Pikachu, is joining the Electric-type in Puma’s new range. Donning Puma’s Inverse sneakers, Mimikyu’s shoes are far plainer than their Pikachu counterparts. Mostly a beige color similar to the disguise Mimikyu wears, with some black and white detailing. Plus a Mimikyu charm in the same place as the Pikachu pendant on the themed Fade Nitros.
The two other Pokemon selected for Puma sneakers duty are both Eeveelutions – Umbreon and Espeon. Like Pikachu, Umbreon’s sneakers are Fade Nitros, and since the Dark-type Eevee evolution has a similar color scheme to Pikachu, its footwear is basically the inverse of the Pikachu trainers.
Umbreon’s Fade Nitro sneakers are mostly black with yellow detailing to represent the gold markings that can be found over the Pokemon’s body. The Espeon sneakers are quite a bit different, not only because they are pink all over like the Pokemon they’ve been designed to represent, but because they are Puma Mostros. They’re the sneakers with the spiked sole on the toe. Both the Espeon and Umbreon designs also have charms hanging from the laces like the other two designs.
Puma x Pokemon Night & Day Collection Prices And Release Details
All four designs will be available through the Puma website from 12 am EST on April 2, 2026, and you might spot them in the wild should you visit a Puma store, although I can’t imagine they’ll be in stock for long. The Mimikyu sneakers are the cheapest of the quartet and will cost $110. The Pikachu and Umbreon Fade Nitro sneakers cost $125 per pair, and to rep Espeon in footwear form, you’ll need to part with $130.
If you’re not keen on spending quite that much on something from Pokemon x Puma’s Night & Day collection, there will be a lot more than just sneakers available. All four Pokemon can be found on tracksuits, t-shirts, and caps, and some others who aren’t getting sneakers can also be found on other merch, including Mew, Mewtwo, and the series’ original partner Pokemon, as shown above.
