There are dozens of vendors and shopkeepers to barter with in Crimson Desert. While most of them deal in silver or copper in exchange for goods, certain vendors only sell to upstanding contributors to society. These unique vendors are called Contribution Shops, special locations that offer rare and sometimes unique goods in exchange for your Contribution Points.
We’ll show you how to increase your Contribution Points so you have plenty of currency to trade in exchange for rare items at Contribution Shops. Read on to see where to find the first Contribution Shop in Hernand and how trading works.
What Are Contribution Points & How Do You Get Them?
Contribution Points are a measure of how much you have helped to better the lives of the citizens and towns in a given location, like Hernand.
Here are the major ways to earn Contribution Points in Crimson Desert, and how much they help you earn:
- Donate money to beggars (low boost)
- Completing requests from the notice board (low boost)
- Completing bounties from bounty boards (low to medium boost)
- Freeing refugees (low to medium boost)
- Liberating areas from bandits (medium boost)
- Completing Main Story quests (medium to large boost)
You can also increase your Contribution Point gains by using certain equipment, like the Frostcursed Plate Boots, which offer an additional ten percent Contribution EXP for each action you perform.

Where To Find Contribution Shops
Contribution Shops are special vendors scattered across Pywel who each offer you a place to spend your Contribution Points for a given area.
You can only spend Contribution Points earned while in Hernand at the Hernand Contribution Shop.
The first Contribution Shop you can access is located in Hernand Castle.
Head up the road and through the back gate into the castle, and you’ll find a door tucked between two archways, which leads down into the shop. This door must be unlocked using a key.
Alternatively, you can also enter the Contribution Shop via the door surrounded by vines, slightly up the curved cobblestone road.
Once you find the Hernand Contribution Shop, talk to Haldwin to view his inventory.
Haldwin has a decent array of goods to choose from in exchange for your Contribution Points. You can also sell items purchased from this shop back to Haldwin, if you’d like to get your Contribution Points back.
Here is a full list of Haldwin’s Contribution Shop inventory so you can browse before you go.
