When you first start playing Crimson Desert, you’ll learn that the main character is a Greymane, and you’ll also get introduced to a bunch of other characters from this faction. However, these characters will get separated after an incident in the prologue, and you’ll have to start from scratch again.
After going through the first couple of chapters, you’ll finally get to meet some of them again through the main story. Familiar Curses is one such quest that allows you to meet an important character. However, if you’re not cautious, you might end up losing ten silver coins for no reason in this one.
How To Start The Familiar Curses Quest
If you want to meet Yann again in Crimson Desert, you’ll have to get through the main story until you reach the Familiar Curses quest. To do this, you’ll first have to reach the third chapter of the story, where you finally set up your own camp in A Fresh Start quest. Once your camp is set up, you’ll eat together with the members and welcome Marius back in through a small quest.
When Marius is back in the camp, the Familiar Curses quest will start, and it’ll revolve around the House Of Healing on the southeastern side of Hernand.

How To Enter The House Of Healing
As you get close to the House Of Healing, you can talk to three women standing near its entrance, and they’ll tell you that the only way to enter it is either by getting a pass from the Church of Hernand or a special costume from the shady person on the right side of the entrance. You can find this person near another gate as you move to the right.
However, both the costume and the pass in the church, which can be found on the eastern side of Hernand city, cost ten silver coins. This is quite a lot of money for the early game. Thankfully, you don’t have to use it, as there’s another path to enter the House of Healing without permission. To do this, you have to move to the left of the entrance and go up the hill until you reach the big building.
Near the stone fence, you’ll see two soldiers talking in front of a ladder. Wait for a bit and these soldiers will move away. Take this chance to get in and climb the ladder to the top. After that, fall to the lower roof on your left and you’ll see an entrance to the upper floor of the building on the other side.
Enter here and move to the right to find the desired location, where a cutscene will make you meet Yann. After meeting him, you simply have to follow him out of the house to finish the Familiar Curses quest.
