Several months ago, video game pirates wondered out loud if Denuvo, the anti-tampering DRM that is intended to prevent titles on PC from being “cracked” and released by pirates, had “won,” given its effectiveness in stopping piracy in its tracks. A few months later, pirates are singing a different tune, as roughly 52 Denuvo titles remain uncracked by pirates,
As first shared by notorious repacker FitGirl on their website, the number of games that still have Denuvo and have been untouched by pirates is shrinking at an otherworldly rate.
“But I guess soon it will be empty or left with some obscure titles with additional protection,” they wrote. “I can only imagine Denuvo execs and their hard talks with customers.”

Denuvo Might Be In Trouble, As Pirates Are Easily Cracking Games Like Borderlands 4 And Infinite Wealth With A New Method
Borderlands 4, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and a lot more have already been cracked.
Much of that is thanks to a new form of Denuvo bypass called Hypervisor that is making the rounds, making titles like Crimson Desert playable on day-and-date, provided you’re willing to sacrifice some security features. There’s still debate about whether this is an official form of “cracking” and whether players should trust it, but many have already made that decision.
“As for the wave of HV repacks lately – just keep calm, if you don’t like them,” the post continued. “Things will balance themselves out soon. And repacks with traditional cracks will prevail.”

It’s heavy on racing and sports titles, with a few heavy-hitters mixed in, as well as some extremely recent releases (Mega Man, Anno 117) that are prime targets for pirates to take advantage of.
So did Denuvo win? It’s hard to say, but the battle is leaning in favor of piracy.
