How To Get The Redacted Twitch Drops In Rainbow Six Siege

How To Get The Redacted Twitch Drops In Rainbow Six Siege

The Redacted event in Rainbow Six Siege leans into a Metal Gear Solid-style event where hacking and scrambling to extract a data disk replaces the usual routine of planting bombs and holding sites. Running from March 25 to April 8, this limited-time 4v4 mode drops you onto a snow-covered map where every round plays out across two phases.

With more emphasis on gunfights, things can spiral fast if your team is not on the same page. This guide covers how the mode works, how to earn event packs, and how to grab Twitch Drops before the event disappears. Let’s not keep you waiting, huh?

How To Play The Redacted Game Mode

The Redacted event is a 4v4 hack and extract mode built around two distinct phases. Matches are played as best-of-three rounds, meaning the first team to win two rounds takes the game.

Playable attackers include Zero, Solid Snake, Iana, Ash, and Maverick. Defenders include Smoke, Ela, Jackal, Kaid, and Kapkan.

Hacking Phase

Each round begins with a Hacking phase, where attackers must locate and interact with one of three terminals to initiate a data heist. During this stage, defenders focus on anchoring their positions and preventing attackers from successfully completing the hack.

When a terminal is hacked, defenders can locate it and attempt to shut it down, interrupting progress as attackers work to push the hack to 100 percent.

With only a limited amount of time, both sides may contest control of the terminals, creating back-and-forth pressure as attackers switch targets and defenders respond to stop the progress. Once a terminal is fully secured, the match transitions into the Extraction phase.

In the Extraction phase, attackers must retrieve the MO Disk and carry it to a designated extraction point. This turns the objective into a moving target, which requires attackers to coordinate their push while defenders rotate, intercept the carrier, and eliminate them before the extraction is completed or the round timer expires.

As you progress through these challenges, you will unlock exclusive event collection packs that contain themed cosmetics from the Redacted collection. Completing the full collection also grants additional rewards, including an animated C7E Memento skin for Jackal.

The Redacted event includes Twitch Drops that reward viewers with cosmetics by watching eligible streams on Twitch. During the event, players can earn the Hydroponic Vector .45 ACP weapon skin by watching participating channels.

To earn Twitch Drops, you must first link your Twitch account with your Ubisoft account through the official account linking process provided by Ubisoft.

Once your accounts are connected, you need to watch eligible streams, including official Rainbow Six Siege channels or select partner streams, to accumulate watch time toward rewards. Progress is tracked automatically as long as the stream is eligible.

Twitch Drops for the Redacted event go live on March 25 at 9am PT and run until April 1 at 9am PT. You must watch for at least two hours total to qualify for the reward.

After earning a Drop, it must be claimed manually in the Twitch Inventory before it appears in-game.
