The Flying Fortress Orbian must be destroyed towards the end of Crimson Desert: it’s a mammoth structure that you approach on the back of a dragon. After following the instructions to destroy the outer weaponry and defenses using the dragon’s fire, you will land inside – and, in typical Crimson Desert fashion – have to solve some puzzles and defeat a boss.
None of this is particularly straightforward, so this guide walks you through each step as well as an easy way to take down the boss inside the fortress. Spoilers ahead for the final moments of the game.
How To Get Into The Flying Fortress Orbian
Here’s a step-by-step of how to progress through the Flying Fortress.
Inside the center of the Fortress, you will find a small central console. Pierce this with your sword and spin it to reveal an empty passageway to the next level.
Climb the metal grate, defeat the three enemies upstairs, and then use Force Palm jump or climb up to the roof.
On the roof, destroy these green glass bulbs. There are five or six dotted around the top of the Fortress, marked on your map. Pierce them to destroy them.
You can then destroy the central console on top of the fortress, and drop to the platform that opens on the side.
Inside, you will find this door that can be interacted with using Force Palm. However, it will instantly spin around. I basically found a method of using Axiom Force and Energy Surge to open this, and as the door spins, then quickly mantled on the edge of the door. I have no idea if that’s the correct way of doing it, but it worked for me. It will push you inside the room.
Inside, you will encounter the boss fight – a spinning disc of light. Again, you need to use Force Palm and Energy Surge to stun the boss in place, otherwise it is invulnerable to damage. Once it is stunned, you can shoot it with arrows to quickly kill it.
If you don’t have any arrows…this fight is basically impossible. You will need to leave and return with arrows. Which means you need to do the whole puzzle again.
