When you add Drifloon as a friend to your town and you bring him a doll, you unlock the ability to travel to Dream Islands. Once you’re on a Dream Island, you’ll have a ton of items you can take back to your town.
Anything new, anything you might be missing, from building materials to collectibles, to even event items, Dream Islands are all different, and they each feature different materials you can collect. There is one thing you’ll find on all of them, however, and that’s Stardust. So what is Stardus and what do you do with it, and how does it work in Pokemon Pokopia?
How To Get Stardust
Star Pieces are made out of Stardust. This special material can only be found on Dream Islands. It doesn’t matter which Dream Island you visit, as each of them will have Stardust scattered around the edges, especially near or on the beaches.
You can also find some in underground areas while exploring near the middle of the Dream Island.
You’ll need a lot of Stardust to turn it into Star Pieces. Since you can only go to Dream Islands once per day, you’ll want to stack up every day that you go.
Pokemon Pokopia: Complete Crafting Recipe List
So you know everything there is to craft in Pokemon Pokopia, here is the complete list of crafting recipes and their materials.
How To Get Star Pieces
Star Pieces can be crafted at a work bench. The first time you collect Stardust, you’ll learn the recipe to create Star Pieces. You need 99 Stardust to make one Star Piece.
Crafting is the only way you can get Star Pieces. 99 for a single Star Piece may seem excessive, but you’ll find a ton on a Dream Island with every visit. You can get around 50 Stardust in a single Destiny Island visit.
What To Do With Star Pieces
Once you have made a star piece, there are two things you can do with it. If you’ve been visiting your friends’ towns and playing multiplayer, you can get a Pokemon from your friend’s town to visit and come live in your town.
To do this, travel to a friend’s town and talk to the Pokemon you want to have move in with you. Once that’s done, you can gift them the Star Piece you’ve crafted. In return, they’ll give you a gift named after them.
When in your town, take this gift and open it near a vacant lot, and you’ll be able to befriend a Pokemon of the same species as the one from your friend’s town, and it’ll move into your town.
Don’t worry, you won’t be stealing a Pokemon from your friend. A Pokemon of the same species will show up, not the actual Pokemon in your friend’s town.
Star Pieces are also used for creating Rare Pokemetal. A Pokemon with the Rarify specialty can take the Star Piece and turn it into Rare Pokemetal.
