If you can’t wait to play LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, we have some great news for you.
The PS5 action platformer is now set to launch on 22nd May 2026, a week sooner than the previously announced date of 29th.
This comes via a brief video highlighting the news:
Per the official website’s FAQ, this revision to the release date of course also applies to the early access period for those that pre-order the Deluxe Edition. This means you could play the game as early as 19th May.
In a nutshell, Legacy of the Dark Knight is a sort of greatest hits of all Batman media rolled into one adventure. It celebrates the character’s whole history, which means fans will spot countless references to the comics, movies, and so on.
Fans of Batman’s games will be pleased to know the gameplay looks heavily inspired by the Batman Arkham series, with similar combat and exploration throughout.
A release date being brought forward is a rarity, but it’s nice when it happens.
Interestingly, it’s not the only game coming soon that’s releasing earlier than planned; Capcom’s Pragmata recently pulled the same move too.
