Foldable smartphones have undergone rapid development in recent years. In the beginning, they were heavier and bulkier than normal smartphones and also not waterproof. But all these disadvantages have now disappeared. This new foldable smartphone is just as slim as the current iPhone.
Honor has been a pioneer in the field of foldable smartphones for several years now. The Magic V2 from a few years ago was the first foldable smartphone that was so thin, it could be used like a normal smartphone when closed. Since the Magic V3, the software has matured and offered numerous options to maximize use of the larger display. Today, Honor introduced the Magic V6.
Extra Thin and Extra Light
As soon as you pick it up, you notice this: The Honor Magic V6 is even thinner than its predecessors. At first glance, the technical specifications confirmed this impression. It boasts a thickness of 8.75 millimeters, similar to the current iPhone 17 Pro Max when closed. Tipping the scales at 219 grams, it is even slightly lighter.
When folded, you can use the Honor Magic V6 with its 6.52-inch display like a normal smartphone. When unfolded, a significantly larger 7.95-inch display is available — perfect for using two apps simultaneously, or for surfing the web or playing games as though you were using a small tablet. The smartphone is also protected against dust and water according to the IP68/69 rating. A new anti-reflective coating also ensures less reflection, while the crease in the middle of the display is less noticeable than before.

Honor Magic V6: Technical Specifications
Only one color is known to date: chic red with gold accents. However, there will be more colors to choose from at launch. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powers this device, which is the fastest chip currently available for smartphones. This makes the Honor Magic V6 not only the thinnest foldable smartphone on the market, but also the most powerful.
The battery is divided into two cells, one for each half of the display, and measures a generous 6,660 mAh. However, there is still no information about the camera configuration. It will still be a few months before the Magic V6 hits the market. Honor is looking at release in the second half of 2026, while the price remains unknown. Its predecessor retailed for €1,499.90, so we can expect the same ballpark figure for the Magic V6.
