A Bogmathr is a long distance attack unit in Norse: Oath Of Blood. She has a long bow just like Sigrid, and can be highly skillful on the battlefield. The Bogmathr not only uses her bow to attack the enemy, but she has abilities unique to their unit type.
Her abilities come from being a skilled hunter and marksman, bringing specialist skills from both areas. Here are the best abilities to choose when using a Bogmathr in Norse: Oath Of Blood, and how best to use her on the battlefield.
Every Best Bogmathr Abilities
The Bogmathr is a ranged fighting unit in Norse: Oath Of Blood, that you can add to your units when entering the next battle alongside Sigrid and Gunnar. If you like to have multiple archers in your line up, you can hire new Bogmathrs from any allied village that has them available.
Check the Map regularly for new recruits, as each allied village refreshes stock of resources and fighters every few turns.
The Bogmathr abilities are unique to the archer fighting type. They can be chosen from two distinct choices: War-Chief or Skald, with more abilities available each time the unit ranks up.
Your fighters gain experience and will rank up once they have enough EXP after a mission. The more they interact with an enemy unit and the more hits and kills they get, the more likely they are to rank up.
To check how successful each unit has been, add any new abilities, or change equipment, visit the Hirdmen tab and select your unit. You can also change equipment before a battle.
Abilities in the Hunter column are mostly debuffs for the enemy and buffs for your units, while the Marksman column contains a lot of damage-dealing abilities and buffs. Your play style and how you want to use your fighter will determine which abilities you prefer. However, we recommend equipping the abilities below for a hard-hitting damage-dealing ranged attacks.

Ullr’s Arrow |
Marksman |
Einherjar |
Your attack will deal between 8 – 16 Damage, great for dealing heavy damage to a boss. |
If your Bogmathr unit tends to be closer to the enemy than you’d prefer, you could always choose Blood Seeker over Ullr’s Arrow. This deals out shots to any enemy unit within a 5-tile range, with 1-2 Damage per shot, and +1 Damage for each Bleed status.
The Bogmathr is best deployed to the rear at the start of the match, as she has a long bow and plenty of range. If she does end up using a melee weapon, she has a dagger to hand to deal out a quick +1 Damage.
She is perfectly useful staying in one place, utilizing Lay Low, and showering the enemy with arrows from a distance.
