Cooling Fans are a rare recyclable material located in Technological areas in Arc Raiders. These are a little bit rare, and after running through a variety of technological points of interest hunting for them, we only managed to scrape together four or five fans. You’ll need these as part of your caravan project to prestige in the game, so make sure you don’t recycle any unnecessarily.
We think we’ve found one of the better places to loot cooling fans, and that’s inside the Space Travel building on Buried City. This is a great building for looting in general and part of our best loot spots guide, but there are also lots of technological lockers that can contain Cooling Fans.
Best Place To Find Cooling Fans
We’ve scoured various maps to find the best place to find Cooling Fans, and while some of the larger buildings on Spaceport have some good potential for fans, it’s really the Space Travel building on Buried City that is your best bet.
There are multiple floors here and each floor has rooms with these large bits of tech machinery in – they look a bit like server cabinets.
Each of these has a chance to drop a Cooling Fan when you breach it and search inside of it.
The Space Travel building can be difficult to loot. There are multiple Fireballs inside, and it’s quite a contested area with lots of other raiders. While we usually recommend taking a free loadout for these types of looting runs, the difficulty of the area means you’ll probably need to bring in some extra equipment.
Don’t forget to loot the room at the top of the building, on floor six. This barricaded door has lots of loot inside, as well as extra server rooms to hunt for Cooling Fans in.
To bring these concepts to life, I’ve been working with our video producer, Cristian Macias, on a visual companion to this guide. He’s done a fantastic job translating the text into an engaging, easy-to-digest video. Check out what we’ve put together here:
