Ubisoft has detailed patch 1.1.8 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which goes live tomorrow, 17th February 2026. After the 1.73GB download on PS5, you’ll gain access to new features like a manual jump option, more detailed loadout screens, and further bug fixes and tweaks.
To enable the manual jump, you need to turn on the Advanced Parkour option in the settings. This allows both Naoe and Yasuke to jump at any time, “making the world an even more dynamic playground for parkour enthusiasts”.
Then, on the loadout screen for both characters, you can press R3 to view how your gear and perks work in far greater detail. You will see lists of your percentage increases as well as general effects from your armour, weapons, and more.
Ubisoft has also made improvements to the critical hit mechanic, updating its visual feedback to make it easier to tell how much damage they deal. Further, the Hideout area has been updated with an interactive entrance to the Animus, making it easier to access.
