Helldivers 2 has a new enemy for our brave Super Soldiers out there to overcome, and it’s the Cyborgs. After revealing themselves to Super Earth earlier this week, it’s been all hands on deck within the Helldivers 2 community to take the fight to their home world, Cyberstan, in an attempt to eradicate them as quickly as they’ve appeared.
However, those that have been following the Helldivers 2 socials will know that some rather interesting footage has been coming out of Cyberstan recently, which paints the Cyborgs in a more favorable light. This footage came in the form of several tweets that included binary code, and was essentially Cyborg propaganda to try and convince others that Super Earth are the villains.
Of course, you and I both know that the Cyborgs are simply producing lies to smear Super Earth, but there seems to be at least one individual out there that has been taken in by these lies and is attempting to fight on the side of Cyberstan.
Helldivers 2 Fan Is Killing Teammates To Defend Cyberstan
This individual goes by the name Super Earth Hater on TikTok, and has recently been uploading videos of themselves being an absolute menace in matches by constantly killing their own teammates and wasting resources. In their latest video, they include the captions “Defend Cyberstan” and “Waste their reserves”, as this individual appears to be throwing games in the name of the Cyborgs.
Understandably, most people that come across these videos aren’t very pleased about what they’re seeing, replying with memes about treason, calls for Arrowhead to ban the individual, or just straight-up, good old-fashioned verbal abuse. Their antics are actually becoming a little bit high-profile, with Arrowhead itself getting tagged in social media posts, so we may not be waiting long to see this person gone.
In all seriousness though, don’t actually do this. It’s fine to roleplay and get involved in the world of Helldivers 2, but you can do so without making the game worse for others around you. It’s also worth pointing out that this person’s TikTok goes further back than the introduction of the Cyborgs, and they actually have a series titled “Day XX Of Team Killing Until I Get Banned”, so it’s unlikely they’re doing it for the love of the game’s world, and more likely that they’re trying to rattle feathers.
Even if you do decide to ignore all of that and go on Super Solider killing sprees in your own games, you’ll probably catch a lengthy (if not permanent) ban for team killing, as it’s not the intended way to play the game. Now, a PvP mode for Helldivers 2, that would go pretty hard, and if we can take anything from this debacle, it’s that PvP could be something Arrowhead considers for the future.
