In case you missed it, there’s a new My Hero Academia game on the market, My Hero Academia: All’s Justice, that helps wrap up the story of the anime and manga in video game form. Unfortunately, by most accounts, the game is pretty OK, posting a 73 on Metacritic on 27 reviews, which seems par for the course when it comes to anime games, specifically anime fighting games.
That said, if there’s one thing that can make any game better, its memes, and someone on Nexus Mods took that notion to heart. Because just 24 hours after All’s Justice launched, they managed to mod Grand Theft Auto San Andreas’ CJ into the game.
No, we’re not joking.
The mod, which is available on PC, takes CJ and puts him over series protagonist Deku.
My Hero Academia: All’s Justice Is A Massive Leap Forward From One’s Justice
All’s Justice finally feels like the My Hero Academia game that fans deserve, even if it is still a little floaty.
Because this is an overlay mod, don’t expect CJ to be yelling at San Andreas Smash or Los Santos Smash. But it’s the exact kind of nonsensical addition that could help take a mediocre title and make it, well, less mediocre.
It is also the latest and what has been a long-standing challenge among gamers — find any way to mod CJ into the latest video game.
Where There’s A Will, There’s A CJ
It’s unclear when the whole “mod CJ into everything” challenge started, but TheGamer has content dating back to 2022 that puts CJ in Spider-Man, as well as Stray. And since then, just about any popular game has had a fan who added CJ to it.
In 2023, a mod was released for Armored Core 6 that made CJ a mech. Then in 2024, CJ was added to SIlent Hill 2, replacing James as the central protagonist. A year after that, Eve from Stellar Blade was replaced by — you guessed it — CJ from San Andreas.
Those are just the more noteworthy examples. There’s a CJ mod for Marvel vs. Capcom and in WWE video games and what appears to be the original Ghost of Tsushima.
Given how stacked 2026 is when it comes to video game releases, it’s highly likely that this won’t be the end of the CJ mods. In fact, if modders have their way, this is only the beginning.
