For a good portion of the United States, their respective video game consoles will be turned off on Sunday, as it’s the Super Bowl. Indeed, the year-end National Football League championship battle is upon us, which means there will be oodles of commercials spread throughout the contest.
Among those set to advertise include Nintendo and Illumination with a spot dedicated to April’s The Super Mario Bros. Galaxy movie, a repeat partner after dedicating ad space in 2023 in advance of the first Mario movie, as well as Pokemon, which is widely predicted to kick-start its 30th anniversary campaign.
As has been the case with most things in recent Pokemon land, part of the advertisement has seemingly leaked, and boy is it a doozey.
The five-second clip shared by noted leaker Centro, features celebrties Lady Gaga and Young Miko, along with F1 driver Charles Leclerc. Next to them are three Pokemon: Gengar, Growlithe and Jigglypuff.
It would appear that each of them are describing why they like that Pokemon, meaning the final ad could ultimately center around the franchise having no shortage of creatures to fall in love with.

It’s Been 25 Years Since The Best Pokemon Game Ever Took Over The World
Game Freak still hasn’t topped the brilliance of Pokemon Gold and Silver.
Provided that The Pokemon Company doesn’t release the full ad ahead of Sunday, you’ll have to tune in to see what happens or if any announcements are littered inside. Given how expensive Super Bowl advertisements are, I wouldn’t expect the ad to last more than 30 seconds.
It is just one of several activations that are ongoing as Pokemon celebrates a notable milestone.
Pokemon Is Seemingly Going All-Out For The Big Milestone
Just before the year ended, Uniqlo and Pokemon revealed a collaboration for some apparel to celebrate the big achievement, one that will feature original artwork, including the infamous “fat” version of Pikachu.
Then, right on cue, on January 1, Pokemon revealed the logo that will adorn everything. Go figure, it also involved “fat” Pikachu, though some fans are convinced that it might be hiding the new Gen 10 model of the face of the franchise, too. There are also some other bits and bobs, and Pikachu is on all of them.
However, what most fans are concerned about is the day that we’ll get a Pokemon Presents. And, as is tradition, Pokemon Presents 2026 will be on February 27, the day that saw the launch of the franchise in Japan.
As far as what we’ll get at Pokemon Presents, that’s still a mystery. Naturally, everyone is hoping for long-awaited ports and news of Gen 10, but we’ll have to wait about 20 more days to know for sure.
