Ascended Heroes Products Should You Buy?

Ascended Heroes Products Should You Buy?

While every new set release in the Pokemon TCG features loose packs as the most common way to get your collection started, there are different kinds of sets with different product lines. Standard sets, like Ascended Heroes, feature a wider range of products to choose from, while Special sets, like Scarlet & Violet: 151, don’t offer select products, like booster boxes.

Ascended Heroes is one of the most impressive Mega Evolution sets we’ve seen, with a wide array of popular Pokemon to chase, including Pikachu, Charizard, Dragonite, and others that will make your choice of what product to buy much more difficult.

Due to price volatility and the major difference between MSRP and market prices, products will be judged based on standardized MSRP valuations.

Loose Packs

The Ascended Heroes Loose Packs from the Pokemon TCG.

Loose packs are the most basic way to get your hands on any Pokemon TCG products, with individual packs each containing ten randomly inserted cards.

However, opening packs individually from various products is typically considered the most truly random way to open packs, since the packs in Booster Boxes and Booster Bundles are grouped in processing.

Pokemon TCG: The Most Valuable Mega Pokemon In Ascended Heroes

Mega Pokemon have some of the most expensive cards in Ascended Heroes.

While this is the cheapest way to get your hands on a few of Ascended Heroes’ most valuable cards, you’ll be like Charlie hoping to find Wonka’s golden ticket if you’re purchasing them one at a time. On the flip side, you don’t have to commit to spending much money when purchasing loose packs, which makes them a flexible budget option.

First Partners Deluxe Pin Collection

The Ascended Heroes First Partners Pin Collection from the Pokemon TCG.

  • Five Ascended Heroes Booster Packs
  • Three foil promo cards (Chikorita, Tepig, Totodile)
  • One deluxe pin with Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile

The First Partners Deluxe Sticker Collection comes with a decent set of products to enjoy for anyone, but especially collectors who want exclusive merchandise, like the special pin you’ll find here featuring the three Hoenn starters.

Five Ascended Heroes packs are always going to be a nice bonus to have in any product, but especially one that doesn’t feature many other bonuses. While you’re far from guaranteed to be in line for a big hit like an Illustration Rare, five packs give you a decent swing at finding something decent in this reasonably priced collection.

Tech Sticker Collection

The Ascended Heroes Tech Sticker Collection from the Pokemon TCG.

  • Three Ascended Heroes Packs
  • One sticker sheet
  • One foil promo featuring Pokemon on the package

Tech Sticker Collections offer two fewer packs than the deluxe pin collections do, but their lower price is appreciated if you’re looking for packs rather than collectible merchandise.

Charmander and Gastly are the two choices for your Tech Sticker Collections, and these popular Pokemon feature their evolved form on the sticker sheet that’s included with the product. At under $20 MSRP, this is a decent way to get a few packs and some cute stickers to customize your electronics or cases.

Mini Tins

The Ascended Heroes Mini Tin from the Pokemon TCG.

  • Two Ascended Heroes Booster Packs
  • One collectible coin
  • One art rare card, featuring Pokemon on the package

Mini Tins are arguably one of the most practical ways to buy some cards for your kids or younger siblings, since this gives them an adorable carrying case for their two packs of cards, and they are guaranteed a card featuring one of the Pokemon on the package.

The guarantee of a hit is always nice, especially when you might only have the budget for two or three packs, so it’s hard to argue against the economical value of the Mini Tins. These tins aren’t the safest way to store your cards if you want to keep them in excellent condition, but they’ll do the job if you’re a more casual collector.

Ascended Heroes Collection: Larry

The Ascended Heroes Collection featuring Larry from the Pokemon TCG.

  • Two Ascended Heroes packs
  • One coin featuring Larry
  • One promo card featuring Larry’s Komala

The Ascended Heroes Larry Collection is another excellent bang for your buck, as this ten-dollar mini collection is the perfect option for Larry Lovers. If you’re a fan of the featured trainer, then you can enjoy the coin and Larry’s Komala promo card no matter what, but things can get even better if you’re lucky enough to pull something from your two packs.

Considering Larry’s overall popularity and the specificity of the bonuses in this collection, the packs feel more like a cherry on top rather than the sole reason to buy a collection like this.

Mega Starter ex Box

The Ascended Heroes Mega Starter ex Box from the Pokemon TCG.

  • Four Ascended Heroes Booster Packs
  • One Promo Foil card featuring Mega Feraligatr, Meganium, or Emboar
  • One Oversized Promo Foil card featuring Mega Feraligatr, Meganium, or Emboar

The Mega Emboar/Feraligatr/Meganium ex Box is another excellent way to get some guaranteed hits for your collection, with your choice of Pokemon Legends: Z-A evolved starter to choose from.

Considering the price of their cards in the set, Feraligatr is likely to be the most expensive box on the secondary market.

While you’ll be paying much more than Larry’s Collection for the extra packs and promo cards, this collection still offers great value considering the guarantees and the chances you have to get more from four packs.

2

Booster Bundles

The Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle from the Pokemon TCG.

  • Six Ascended Heroes Booster Packs

If all you care about is the thrill of the pull, then booster bundles are the perfect purchase for you, since they offer six chances to pull a hit. While there’s no guarantee of pulling an Illustration Rare or better card, there’s a good chance to find something decent in one of six packs, based on the average hit rates.

There are no guarantees here, so this is a high-risk, high-reward prospect, but if you have the willpower to keep some of these sealed in your collection, you’ll be guaranteed a return down the line once the sealed cost inevitably rises as supply dwindles and demand continues to rise.

Elite Trainer Boxes

The Ascended Heroes PCE ETB from the Pokemon TCG.

  • Nine Ascended Heroes Booster Packs (Standard ETB)
  • One full-art foil promo card featuring N’s Zekrom
  • 65 card sleeves
  • 40 energy cards
  • One guide to the Ascended Heroes expansion
  • Six damage-counter dice
  • One coin-flip die
  • One coin
  • One collector’s box to hold everything, with six dividers

Elite Trainer Boxes are the best product to buy from Ascended Heroes, thanks to their high concentration of packs and other goodies for an MSRP of roughly $60 if you’re lucky enough to find one for that price. However, you may have noticed that these ETBs are difficult to find.

Due to the difference in accessibility, the Regular Elite Trainer box contents are listed, not the Pokemon Center Exclusive version.

The Pokemon Company pushed back the release of Ascended Heroes ETBs to February 20, 2026, despite the set’s official release on January 30, 2026. This marks one of the few times that a core product from a featured new set is delayed far beyond the initial release, as typically secondary or bonus products are the only ones to have such a lengthy delay.
