Magic: The Gathering has revealed a new set of Baldur’s Gate 3 Secret Lair cards, this time featuring two of our favourite companions. You can’t drop something related to BG3 and not feature Shadowheart, but this version devoted herself completely to Shar. Meanwhile, Gale’s cards show us the romanceable side of the Wizard of Waterdeep.
With five cards for each of the two companions, you’ll want to be ready to snap them up when they drop on February 9, 2026, at 9 am PT. The foil versions will cost you $39.99, while you can grab the non-foil versions for $29.99. They feature some great artwork of our beloved companions, and even include cameos by other BG3 characters.
Shadowheart And Gale Star In New BG3 x MTG Secret Lair Drop
The Shadowheart’s Devotion drop includes Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar and other cards showing the side of her that embraced Shar. They also feature other Baldur’s Gate 3 characters, like Mol and what looks like Ansur. The Beseech the Queen card art perfectly captures how we all feel about our favourite goth girl.
While the Gale’s Ambition drop shows us everything that the wizard aspires to be, it also features his hunky side. Personal Tutor is reminiscent of the first time he made a move on Tav, under a beautiful sky, while Archmage’s Charm gives us a look at his steamy, topless astral projection. These two sure make good cases for themselves.
Wizards of the Coast knew exactly what it was doing by choosing these two in particular. “And with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, whether your heart belongs to a dangerously charming Wizard or a complicated Cleric, there’s room in this party for romance, too,” said the announcement.
Games To Play If Shadowheart Is Your Favourite Baldur’s Gate 3 Character
If your favorite character is Shadowheart, then these games are likely to strike a chord with you.
Also part of this Dungeons & Dragons drop are Black Lights and Dark Dungeons, Shadows Over Baldur’s Gate, Whispers in Candlekeep, Strahd’s Descent, and Lands of the Forgotten Realms, all featuring some stunning artwork. D&D and BG3 fans are sure to snap up these cards as soon as they launch, so you better keep an eye out.
