As a follow-up to the press release, IGN spoke to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, who said he’s feeling “very good” about the current release date. This is practically the same thing Zelnick said when he was asked of the Fall 2025 window, which has now passed. However, he says it’s different this time because “any time you’re getting closer to marketing beats, you’re obviously in a place where your confidence level is as high as it can be”.
Elsewhere, it was confirmed GTA 5 has now sold 225 million copies, adding another five million units to its overall total in three months. The entire GTA franchise as a whole has now sold 465 million copies.
