Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined Trophies Go Live

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined Trophies Go Live

After a rather dry January for game releases, we’re finally in February, and business is about to pick up majorly. First up, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined on Feb. 5, the latest entry in Square Enix’s push to modernize and make available the Dragon Quest franchise.

Ahead of its release later this week, reviews for DQ7 Reimagined have gone live, and things are looking good. TheGamer’s Ryan Thompson-Bamsey gave the game 4/5 in their review, and on Metacritic, the title has a respectable 83.

A controversial classic that got the best glow-up

Similarly, its Trophies have also gone live, and if you plan on playing DQ7 Reimagined later this week or down the line, a Platinum looks surprisingly doable.

If You Beat The Game, You’re Already Halfway There

Over on PSN Profiles, where the Trophy list went live, DQ7 Reimagined’s list is made up of 61 total Trophies; 54 Bronze, 5 Silver, 1 Gold and 1 shiny Platinum.

It sounds like a lot, but 32 of those Trophies are given for just going through the game’s story. Managing to earn 100 quick wins will earn you another Trophy, while winning 1,000 battles will pop another. As will defeating 2,000 Monsters. Again, these should all pop naturally by just going through the game.

If there are any pitfalls, it sounds like “Reaching maximum proficiency in all vocations” will require some legwork. Additionally, there’s a Trophy dedicated to “Discovering all Mini Medals” that could be a pain, and one for “Collecting all available items.”

Thankfully, based on the word from those who’ve gone through the game, it doesn’t sound like there aren’t any missable Trophies.

“I can confirm that none of the trophies seem to be missable. However, I am missing one for getting all items,” a user confirmed. Elsewhere, another user clocked their journey at about 66 hours with only one Trophy to go.

Considering that Dragon Quest 11’s Platinum run is about 90–100 hours of work, anything around the 60-hour mark feels like an absolute godsend.

Highguard’s Failure Shouldn’t Matter This Much

Highguard has become a talking point for gaming artistry, instead of just a generic shooter that’s not as good as Apex Legends.
