Dragon Ball Project: Age 1000′s mysterious move-stealing ultra OC hero has been christened “John Dragon Ball” by fans, even though he’s got way more going for him than Xenoverse‘s blank slates.
Last week was an all-timer for Dragon Ball fans, as the Genkidamatsuri celebration revealed the franchise’s future in pretty much every medium. As exciting as it was to get a new Dragon Ball Super anime confirmed, the real highlight of it all was the announcement of a new game, Dragon Ball Project: Age 1000.
We don’t know that much about Age 1000 just yet outside of its futuristic setting (which many think means that it’s Xenoverse 3), but we did get a good look at who appears to be the game’s new hero. Even though we have no idea if he’s a customisable protagonist or a set character, that hasn’t stopped fans from giving him a name all his own.
Dragon Ball Project: Age 1000’s Hero Is Now Just “John Dragon Ball”
The Ultimate OC
Ever since Project: Age 1000 was revealed, its protagonist has been on a bit of a rollercoaster of reactions. Some thought he looked incredibly boring and like the most generic “cool guy” OC character possible, while others thought he’s actually pretty tough since he seemingly knows every Dragon Ball character’s moves.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s Daima DLC Part 1 Is Good, But You’re Better Off Waiting For The Full Thing
Kakarot’s Daima expansion is one of its most unique and interesting, but it’s let down by just how short it is.
As it often does, that mixed response has now turned into memes, with many of them christening the new hero as “John Dragon Ball”. In fact, there’s even a whole parody Twitter account dedicated to the new name, which comes with an unbelievably epic backstory befitting such a powerful legend. And yes, John Dragon Ball even has some fancams.
Other posts are memeing about John Dragon Ball’s fit, his iconic standing pose, and even comparing him to Dragon Ball Legends’ fairly generic Shallot. Oh, and of course you’ve got a ton of posts about how powerful John Dragon Ball is, and how he can defeat pretty much everyone. You know, typical OC stuff. It’s going to be heard for Age 1000 to shake the memes, but I’m all here for it.
