Deliverance PS5 Version Leaks Ahead Of Announcement

Rumours have swirled off and on for months about a PlayStation 5 remaster of the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, whose 2025 sequel rocketed on to the scene as one of the year’s best RPGs. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is certainly a big step up from its predecessor on many levels, but some of those levels can be evened-out with a right-proper re-release.

It’s starting to look extremely likely that one is in the cards, and it might not be far off, either. A PlayStation Europe store listing is about as close to “well, that seals the deal” as a report can get without an official announcement, and that’s what we’re working with for this upcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance port. Here’s what you can expect when it almost certainly comes your way.

Deliver Me Those Textures

The PlayStation Store description for Kingdom Come: Deliverance in the U.K., etc. has been updated with information about an unannounced PS5 version—4K, improved frame rate, high-res textures, and more: store.playstation.com/en-gb/produc… Gematsu page: www.gematsu.com/games/kingdo…

As Sal Romano of the ever-excellent Gematsu points out—see above—a description for Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s remaster was posted straight to the storefront. It details what we can expect, which Gematsu’s Bluesky post helpfully pointed out in full. Here’s the deal.

“The PS5 version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance now features graphical updates including 4K resolution, improved framerate, high-resolution textures and many more. Medieval Bohemia has never been so beautiful.”

Cute alliteration at the end there. But let’s break it down a bit. 4K resolution? Nice. Improved framerate? That’ll probably be the talk of the town, more so than anything else, really. If we can get a nice stable 60 fps, that’ll be kingly. High-resolution textures? I don’t recall the original KCD needing anything on par with how Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade fixed that door in the Sector 7 Slums, at least, but it certainly does have some dated tidbits. “Many more” is obviously quite nebulous, so we’ll see what else is up when this eventually surfaces.

Monster Hunter Wilds Might Be Back, As The Game’s Performance Has Drastically Improved On PC

Monster Hunter Wilds fans are rejoicing, as the game is finally in a playable state on PC.

Back in December, a Redditor going by the moniker bertik11 doubled down on a claim that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is getting a current-gen port. (The wording suggests Xbox Series X|S is a likely target, too, for what it’s worth.) They warned folks not to “expect too much, because as far as I’ve heard, it’s just going to be a port from PC. It won’t bring anything groundbreaking or entirely new — it’ll mostly just be a port for the new consoles.”

Fair enough. I’ll take what I can get. Whether that rumour corresponds with this very-obvious marketing flub is impossible to say, but it certainly feels likely.
