You can’t just walk all around town in Heartopia; the world is just too big. Making your way from the forest to the onsen in the mountains and back home would be a ridiculous task if you had to trek it all on foot.

Luckily, the game has vehicles you can use to not only help you get around, but to show off your personal style and individuality by choosing the perfect vehicle for you. If you’re looking for your next vehicle or just want to place a driveway in your home, here’s everything you need to know about vehicles in Heartopia.

How To Get A Vehicle

You won’t be able to just hop on a scooter as soon as the game starts. To unlock vehicles, you’ll need to progress through the main story until you can expand your plot for the first time.

Once that’s done, Andrew will show up outside of your house, unlocking Vehicles for you after speaking to him. You’ll also get your first Green Scooter for free.

After your first vehicle, you’re sure to want more. There are a few ways to get new vehicles. You can do the following:

• Purchase vehicles from Andrew’s Vehicle Shop.
• Purchase vehicles from the Acorn Store using paid currency.
• Log in for seven days straight to get a free vehicle.
• Make any purchase with real money to earn a scooter.

How To Set Up Your Vehicle

Now that you’ve got your vehicle, it’s time to get through the basics of setting everything up to your liking. Here are all the things you can do to make sure you’re satisfied with your vehicle purchase and able to use it and show it off.

How To Change Your Vehicle

If you have more than one vehicle, which you should get by just playing the game, you’ll want to change which vehicle you use.

Your original scooter is a solo ride; the sedan you get as a login reward is a two-seater. So if you want to drive around with a friend and need to switch cars, here’s what to do.

To change your vehicle, simply long press on the vehicle icon on the bottom right of your screen that would normally make your vehicle spawn. When you long press, you’ll see all the vehicles you have available to choose from. Click on the one you want to use and press Drive.

How To Designate A Primary Vehicle

You can designate a primary vehicle that spawns whenever you press the vehicle icon in the bottom right corner for quick access.

To designate a primary vehicle, long press on the icon, click the vehicle you want to use as your primary, and press the Default option. This will make that vehicle the new default when you press the vehicle icon.

How To Add A Parking Spot To Your Lot

To add a parking spot to your lot to park all your cars, you’ll need to enter Build Mode. In Build Mode, click on the furniture section and search for your vehicle.

Choosing your vehicle will then populate a parking spot. Place your parking spot on your lot and complete building, and you’ll have a new designated parking space ready to use.
