A new Fortnite game mode has arrived thanks to the continuing crossover fun with Fall Guys. This temporary game mode is Crown Jam, and is essentially a very hands-on game of 4V4 basketball.
Unlike regular basketball, this game allows tackling the opposition and introduces special ‘Hype’ abilities to help you dunk the ball in the giant net and win the match. Here is everything you need to know about every quest and reward you can get when you play Fall Guys Crown Jam in Fortnite.
How To Play Fall Guys Crown Jam
There are seven cosmetic rewards and hundreds of bonus XP to unlock when you play Fall Guys Crown Jam in Fortnite between January 25 to February 9, 2026. The rewards available range from Fall Guys back bling to Crown Jam-themed sprays, and more. Here is what you can unlock right now:

To play Fall Guys Crown Jam, load up Fortnite as normal and scroll down in the Play tab to the games labeled as ‘By Epic’. In this list you will find all the classics from Fortnite OG to Ranked Reload, and Fall Guys Crown Jam.
Regular Fall Guys Crown Jam mode rewards include the Blue Plushie Bean Back Bling and hundreds of XP by completing the Kickstart Quests below.
To play Fall Guys Crown Jam Ranked, select the current game mode in the lobby and change the Ranked option to ‘On’. This will allow you to unlock all other free rewards after completing the Ranked Quests.
The game is simple:
- Eight players are split into two groups of four and assigned a random team name and corresponding outfits.
- There is a short period before the game where you can practice, as you all wait for players to join.
- A choice of three special Hype abilities will flash up on the screen, and you can choose which you prefer (we love the Confetti Crash!). Watch out for when the Hype meter fills, and use your ability when needed.
- When the game begins, both sides rush to grab the ball in the center, and then must use a mix of luck, skill, and tactics to pass, shoot, and dunk the ball for a point.
- The first team to four points is the winner, or six points for Ranked matches.
A good strategy is for your team to spread out a little, passing the ball if you can, or shooting it toward the enemy’s hoop. After shooting it towards the hoop, you can then run and grab the ball before you jump and dunk it for a point.
Tackle every player coming near to a teammate with the Crown Ball to get an Assist.
