The areas in Arknights: Endfield are divided into multiple instanced regions, and you can unlock most of these just by progressing through the main story. However, there can sometimes be areas that aren’t a part of the main story, and you’ll have to do a specific quest to unlock them.
The Aburrey Quarry is one such area, and you can unlock it through the Quarry Rescue quest. You’ll get this quest once you’ve completed the main story in Valley VI and returned to the Hub. At this point, you’ll get level locked on the main quest, and your best method to move forward will be to enter the side area.
How To Reach Abburey Quarry
The Aburrey Quarry area is on the southeastern side of Valley VI, which means that you’ll have to enter it through the bottom right of The Hub area. The best way to do this is by going to the Hub Base TP-Point and moving through the Worker Dorms down south. This will lead you to the Mountain Side Trail, which you can then use to enter Abburey Quarry.
However, before you make your way there, it’s highly recommended to craft a bunch of Relay Towers and connect them all the way to this entrance. Abburey Quarry has a few mining locations, but no outpost that you can use to connect to them. Hence, your best bet is to take the power there from the Hub AIC, and it’s best done when you’re first entering since you don’t have to follow this path again.

How To Enter The Quarry
As soon as you reach the Abburey Quarry, you’ll have a dialogue with Chen Qianyu. Unlock the TP-Point nearby after this dialogue and take the path on your left to progress deeper into the Quarry. In the next area, you’ll first have to defeat some enemies, and after that, the game will ask you to find another way in.
When you’re looking at the door blocking your path, you’ll see a small path on your left with a rope leading down. You can keep going straight down here while defeating enemies and you’ll stumble upon a small entrance into a darker area, which is your way forward for this quest.
How To Open The Main Door
Once you get past the dark area, you’ll stumble upon the main puzzle in this quest where you have to open the door to enter the lift area of the Quarry. This requires you to find two draggable crates and put them on the pressure plates beside the gate. You’ll see the first crate right beside the doors.
Start by dragging the crate to the right side near the crane. You can then use it to jump up and fall in the little space on the other side. This will let you get an Aurylene and lift the crane. After that, you can head back out and jump through the boxes again to enter the fenced area with two more draggable crates.
To solve the puzzle here, you simply have to put the smaller crate on the pressure plate and then drag the bigger one to the plate on the door. However, if you want to get all the chests in the area, you can first put the bigger crate on the plate inside the fence area. Take the smaller crate out and you can get the chest on the box to your left with it.
After that, put the smaller crate back on the plate inside the fenced area, take the bigger crate out and use it to get the chest on the other corner of the area. Once you’re done with that, you can put the bigger crate on the pressure plate and continue. You just have to follow the path from here and talk to the UWST worker to finish this quest.
