Star Wars Jedi: Survivor released three years ago in 2023, but Respawn may already be preparing to launch the sequel.
“I was thinking about this earlier when I was trying to come up with a game that isn’t announced yet that could make the list,” Kinda Funny co-founder Tim Getty said. “The Jedi: Survivor sequel I think has a solid chance of coming out this year.”

While he admitted that it isn’t a “slam dunk”, Getty revealed that he has “heard some things”, and judging by the series’ track record, it wouldn’t be too far fetched.
Survivor launched just four years after Fallen Order, and that was with COVID-19 impacting development. However, series director Stig Asmussen left Respawn two years ago, despite the team planning a trilogy, and there were layoffs last year that saw “adjustments across Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi”.
Getty Speculates That Star Wars Jedi 3 Will Be Announced In Just A Few Months
As for when we can expect the announcement, Getty speculated that it would be revealed before Summer Game Fest—perhaps in May—and released in September.
Cal Kestis actor Cameron Monaghan confirmed in 2023 that development had begun on Star Wars Jedi 3, which EA Entertainment and Technology president Laura Miele described as “the final chapter” in the series, but we haven’t heard much about the project since.
Maybe we’ll find out more about it sooner than we thought, but in the meantime, we have Galactic Racer to look forward to later this year, a Star Wars racing game helmed by veteran Burnout and Need for Speed talent, even featuring the return of Anakin Skywalker’s old pod-racing rival Sebulba.
