If you’ve been desperate for a new way to decorate your spaces in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, then you’ll no doubt be excited about the Hotel Resort added in the January 2026 version 3.0 update and the dozens of new pieces of furniture it comes with.

As you progressively help decorate Kapp’n’s family resort off the pier on your island, you’ll earn Hotel Tickets to use in the souvenir shop run by Grams down in the lobby. She sells clothes, trinkets, and new pieces of furniture, but which of her new hotel-themed pieces are worth using your Tickets to get?

Cutlery

If you’ve ever ordered room service from a hotel or lush resort before, then you know it’ll come with a luxuriously lavish spread of extras other than the food, stuff like seasonings, sauces, and plates with plenty of cutlery, which is available as the Cutlery item from Grams’ souvenir shop at the Resort Hotel in ACNH to spice up any dining setting.

Whether you’re trying to make a dining-themed room at the Resort Hotel or you’re trying to find new items to add to any dining room you’ve made elsewhere on the island to give the idea that hungry guests will soon be feasting on the slew of food recipes you’ve prepared and displayed before too long.

Marble Kitchen Island

If you’re a fan of fancy living and you’ve been trying to get just one more taste of that from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, then the 3.0 update for the game is sure to wow with its handful of extra luxurious offerings, with five items crafted entirely of marble. And while the wall clock, table, vanity, and fireplace are all beautiful, it’s the Marble Kitchen Island that got us the most.

It’s got a sink and stove top with a kettle pre-placed atop on one side, and both a square and rounded edge on the other to give a fun shape to any kitchen and living area. You can place stools on the far side and pop some food or drinks on the top, and you’ve got one heck of a fancy kitchen!

Hotel Mug

If you’re a vacation person who likes to travel a good amount, then you’ve likely found yourself a type of souvenir that comes home with you each time you go someplace. Things like keychains, magnets, and shot glasses always make for fun tchotchke trinkets to bring back either for yourself or loved ones, but what’s more iconic than a mug from someplace you’ve been?

The Hotel Mug is the cheapest of all the items Grams sells in her souvenir shop, but it’s a fun way to add a splash of travel vibe to any build. These cute, colorful little mugs can be placed in coffee shop builds, hotel rooms you design, diners, or even comfy library builds meant to evoke that oh-so cozy feeling.

Wall-Mounted Bookshelf

Libraries have been one of the most popular styles of build since the very first Animal Crossing game back in the GameCube days, and we’ve already got plenty of fun furniture in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that’ll help you design the library of your dreams in your own home, for a villager on your island, or even as a fun feature in one of your specialty rooms at the Resort Hotel?

We’ve got plenty of arches already in the ACNH furniture catalog, but we’ll never say no to more, especially when they’ve got such a fun and easy-to-customize design like the Colorful-Lantern Arch that Grams begins to sell after you’ve increased the island resort’s reputation for the second time.

This fun party arch is perfect for all kinds of festivities both indoor and out. Add them to any birthday party scene just as seamlessly as you can add them to an island-themed party at the beach or a dance party in a club you’ve made someplace on the island. Who wouldn’t love a fun, bright, colorful vibe for their space?

Kiddie Car

Depending on when you grew up, you probably recognize these iconic, adorable little cars meant for toddlers and children to sit inside and use their feet to run around and simulate driving the car, steering with the plastic wheel inside and having a ball pretending to be a master of the road.

That same fun comes back in the ACNH 3.0 update, which brings the Kiddie furniture to Grams’ shop as soon as you design a room with a Kiddie theme. Head back out and place it among your playground builds on the island to really drive home that nostalgic feeling on your island. You can even customize the colors to make it even more your speed!

Flower Planter

You have tons of ways to decorate your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with plants and flowers (even before you factor in the massive undertaking that is trying to create every hybrid flower in the game for decorative purposes, too), but the Flower Planter is a gorgeous new item that elevates your green spaces.

Available in a slew of colors for both the vase and the flowers themselves, you can customize the Flower Pot in a few ways to make it fit into any hotel room build where nature plays a role. The flowers cannot be changed individually of the vase, but the options we’ve been given are always pretty additions to hotel rooms.

Hotel Aloha Cardigans

We always get new clothing options when there’s DLC, just like the handful of new additions to your closet when Happy Home Paradise launched a few years after the debut of ACNH. It brought you to another island to help create all kinds of homes for the visiting villagers that came across your beach.

In the 3.0 update, though, the Resort Hotel comes with a few different patterns for clothing, with blues for wintry vibes and oranges to give more of a summer feeling. They’re available as shirts or cardigans, but with the update launching in the wintertime in the Northern hemisphere, we love any new cozy options we can get for our villagers.

Rolling Suitcase

It’s not often you see folks check into a hotel without some kind of luggage, and a more iconic option for travelers is a rolling suitcase, an item added to the catalog of furniture in ACNH with the 3.0 update. Speak to Grams and cough up a few Hotel Tickets to get an item that fits seamlessly into any type of room theme you try to build.

Available in a slew of color, there’s not going to be a theme Leilani can throw at you that won’t have space to add one of the Rolling Suitcase items in. The only way it would be any more fun is if interacting with it let you actually change your clothes, instead of just raising and lowering the handle. We can change our outfits using a refrigerator, but not from an actual suitcase, Nintendo…?

Retro Game Consoles

If you’re someone who’s playing the 3.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, you’ve got access to a handful of extra capabilities, including permission to use the Slumber Islands to make extra islands on one console, or even play retro games from the Switch’s catalog of titles.

Once you’ve improved your reputation for the hotel and the island, Grams will begin stocking all kinds of rare goods, and these consoles are some of the best of the best. Place them in your home and you’ll actually be able to use them to play certain retro games right inside ACNH! There are six titles available as of the launch of the update.
