The official Persona 30th Anniversary Asian website’s Google snippet mentions “the next chapter in the series”, and the chances of Persona 6 have never looked higher.
2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the Persona franchise and, despite us only being 11 days into the year, Atlus has already been going hard on the celebrations. Well, that is if you count multiple teases of upcoming announcements, a Persona-themed train coming to Japan, and a fitness boxing DLC featuring Persona 5’s banging music.
As interesting as all that is, though, the one thing that we all want to see is any kind of news on the long-rumoured Persona 6. It’s been claimed for some time now that Atlus is well into development on the sixth mainline entry in the series (which seemingly has a green theme), and we’re all hoping that the big anniversary leads to its announcement.
Persona Website’s Google Snippet Mentions “The Next Chapter In The Series”
I’m Going To Scream If It Means Persona 4 Revival
I wouldn’t blame you for losing hope that Atlus might actually announce Persona 6 this year, considering how the 30th anniversary reveals have gone so far, but there is some light on the horizon. As pointed out by Twitter user ScrambledFaz, the Asian Persona Anniversary website has a rather interesting Google snippet.

Sega Is Right, There Is No Point Buying Persona Until The ‘Definitive Edition’ Comes Along
Turns out that releasing two versions of 100+ hour JRPGs isn’t a good business decision.
The snippet, which is basically a short excerpt from the website, says, “2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Persona! Come celebrate the journey as we usher in the next chapter for the series”. Interestingly, nothing of the sort is said on the actual website itself, as it can only be seen when you look at Google’s excerpt.
While there’s a chance that it’s a translation error or something on Google’s side, it could also be a legitimate summary for the site provided by Atlus. With that in mind, it looks like the Persona 30th Anniversary might actually have some big announcements in the pipeline, and could even actually lead to Persona 6.
“Next chapter for the series” could really mean anything, but I think I speak for everyone when I say it’s surely referring to the next mainline game, and not more spinoffs or the already-announced Persona 4 remake. We’ll have to wait and see what Atlus ends up sharing, but I’ve never had more hope that Persona 6 is actually close to being announced.
