Arc Raiders was one of many surprise hits in the video game industry in 2025, but we’re still learning about just how big a hit the extraction shooter really was in 2026. According to new estimates, Arc Raiders may have already sold more than 12 million copies and also hit 3.2 million daily users across all platforms.
These aren’t official numbers, but figures shared by Alinea Analytics, a site that regularly provides accurate estimates when it comes to sales and player numbers. Alinea revealed that 3.2 million people played Arc Raiders across PC, PS5, and Xbox on January 4, 2026, making it the game’s biggest day yet.
Arc Raiders Might Be The Best-Selling Game Of 2025
That stat was coupled with an arguably even more impressive one – that Alinea estimates Arc Raiders has sold more than 12 million copies. A number that pretty much any studio in the world strives for, and very few come anywhere close to. Most games that sell north of ten million copies are either among Nintendo’s handful of juggernauts or tied to a big IP like Spider-Man and Grand Theft Auto.
If Arc Raiders really has sailed past 12 million copies sold, then that would make it one of 2025’s best-selling games. We don’t have raw figures, but we can compare those numbers to the figures and estimates we do have for some of its competitors. Battlefield 6, for example, has probably sold more than that. However, the most recent confirmed number we have is seven million.
Arc Raiders Has Now Had The Fourth-Best Steam Launch Of 2025

Even though it might not have felt like a big deal to most, Borderlands 4 was confirmed to be among the best-selling games of last year, but again, we don’t have anything close to firm numbers. The same applies to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which, at one stage, was leading the best sellers charge, but seems to have tailed off in the second half of 2025.
Arc Raiders’ Staying Power Is More Impressive Than Its Massive Numbers
You’d have thought Monster Hunter Wilds would be right up there, but after selling 10 million copies right out the gate, its sales dropped off a cliff, as confirmed by Capcom’s financial reports. Even Nintendo can’t compete as Mario Kart World is yet to officially pass the ten million milestone.
It will outsell Arc Raiders eventually, but let’s just live in and enjoy this moment while we can.
The core of the story here, despite its initial success, is that Arc Raiders clearly has legs. Not only is it selling millions of copies, but seemingly pretty much everyone who plays it is sticking around. Not only is that clearly demonstrated by its 3.2 million daily players record, but its concurrent player count is pretty much unchanged from what it was at launch back in October. Battlefield 6’s numbers tell a very different story as even the launch of its free-to-play battle royale spinoff Redsec couldn’t keep the majority of its players coming back for more.
