Fortnite‘s big Kill Bill crossover for Chapter 7, Season 1 was almost accidentally leaked by Maya Hawke on the Stranger Things Season 5 red carpet.
As you’d expect from one of the biggest games in the world, Fortnite is an incredibly leaky ship. Dataminers and insiders manage to discover and spoil almost all of the big collaborations that are in the works for the game before Epic has the chance to reveal them, which includes Chapter 7, Season 1’s main crossover – Kill Bill.
Fortnite’s Kill Bill collab was rumoured to be in the works for quite some time and leaked by dataminers before the season was even announced. As it turns out, though, the crossover was actually almost leaked by someone close to the project – Uma Thurman’s daughter and Stranger Things star, Maya Hawke.
Uma Thurman’s Own Daughter Almost Spoiled Fortnite’s Kill Bill Crossover
“I Can’t Have Said That”
Earlier today, IGN shared a clip from an interview with Maya Hawke on the red carpet premiere for Stranger Things Season 5, which took place on November 6. In the clip, IGN asks Hawke about getting a Robin skin in Fortnite, and if we’re ever going to get more Maya Hawke in games as a whole.

Fortnite Has Once Again Proven Why It Is The Future Of Video Games
Epic Games has delivered one of Fortnite’s best live events yet with the fantastic Zero Hour.
In response, Hawke says that she doesn’t know but hopes that more skins are coming since it’s “good for all of us”. So far, so safe, but Hawke then quickly goes to say that Epic has just “uploaded” her mom, Uma Thurman, into the game, before cutting herself off and saying “never mind, I don’t know what I’m talking about”.
It’s quite funny seeing Hawke so stressed about nearly spoiling the crossover considering how pretty much everything about Fortnite gets leaked ahead of time.
Hawke was, of course, referring to Fortnite’s Kill Bill collaboration and Uma Thurman being scanned into the game for it, which hadn’t been announced at the time. IGN quickly reassured Hawke that they already knew about it and that they’ll cut that part out of the interview. Now that Kill Bill has been out for a while, though, IGN decided to lovingly share the clip of what could have been a very awkward leak.
