All Expedition 2 Project Steps In Arc Raiders

A new season of Arc Raiders means there’s a new Expedition for players to complete. Similar to the previous Expedition, players will once again need to gather a bunch of materials and donate them to this project.

However, unlike last season, there are several new items you’ll need to hoard and use this time around. A lot of which had no prior use until this moment, making it easy to sell or recycle them by accident.

Expedition 2 Project Steps

For the unfamiliar, new players will unlock the Expedition project once they hit player Level 20. For those who have already wiped, it will be available from the start, so you can start donating materials right away. The expedition is broken up into five steps, with each one needing to be completed to unlock the subsequent one.

The big items you will want to look out for are the Shredder Gyros, Frequency Modulation Boxes, Ion Sputter, and Cooling Coils. All of these were items that had no use until now and are only helpful for the Expedition. Additionally, the Ion Sputter and Frequency Modulation Box are pretty tricky to find since they are entirely exclusive to the Stella Montis map.

For the final step, this essentially means you can donate any material in those specific categories. Do not expect to donate 100k of Survival Items in one go, as this will likely take quite a bit of playing to achieve this number. The fifth step will almost certainly take an average player several weeks to finish — especially if you’re new and don’t know where everything spawns.

Benefits Of The Expedition 2 Project

While the prospect of basically losing everything upon committing to the second Expedition sounds scary, there are some real benefits for those willing to make the journey. This includes 12 additional spaces in your Stash, a bonus XP increase, a bonus Scrappy materials, up to 5 additional Skill Points, and a unique cosmetic skin tied to the Expedition.

The two biggest benefits are the increased Stash space and Skill Points. The latter is determined by how many millions worth of money or materials you have when the season ends. Every million equals an additional Skill Point, up to a maximum of five million

for five points you can use right as Season 3 starts.

What Do You Lose In A Character Reset?

As for what you lose when you wipe, this includes your player level, all your current Skill Points, all items you have collected, Work Station upgrades, blueprints, your money, and any quest progression you’ve made. Keep in mind, anyone who does not commit to the Expedition by the end of Season 2 will have all of their progression and gear, which can put you at a disadvantage.

However, if you plan to play Arc Raiders for an extended period of time, then it’s absolutely worth wiping, since the stash upgrades alone can alleviate a lot of headaches.
