Mega Glimmora
Glimmora returns from the Paldea region as one of the most iconic symbols of that game’s moving storyline. Luckily, this Pokemon’s power as a Mega Evolution gets some noticeable base stat boosts to help elevate its strength to new levels.

Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge some more.
Glimmora’s defenses get a decent boost to improve its tanking capabilities, but its offensive stats are where the real improvement lies, with a plus-35 to its Attack stat followed by a plus-20 to its Special Attack, which is where it really shines. Glimmora’s excellent type combination makes it a superb coverage option to add to your team, especially against other Mega Pokemon, including Dragonite.
Despite the larger boost, you won’t want to rely on Glimmora for many physical attacks, given how vastly superior its Special Attack is.

Mega Absol Z
After a glance at its Base Stat Total (BST), Mega Absol Z might appear to be identical to its normal Mega version, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Mega Absol Z’s biggest buff is to its Speed, which sits at a shockingly fast 151 thanks to a kind donation from its Special Attack stat, which usually went to waste.
Since Absol is a physical attacker, it won’t need to use its Special Attack stat in most scenarios, so the shift in stats from Special Attack to Speed ensures that this Pokemon is constantly dishing out damage to the opponent. If that wasn’t enticing enough, it also gains the Ghost typing to go with Dark, thus eliminating Absol’s once-glaring weakness to Fighting-type foes.
6
Mega Staraptor
Mega Staraptor gets a huge stat boost, with a plus-100 BST thanks to its Mega Evolution. In addition to getting slightly stronger on the defensive side, Mega Staraptor’s Attack also gets an additional 20 points to increase its potency, but that’s not even the best part of this significant Mega upgrade.
Mega Staraptor also adds the Fighting-type alongside its original Flying distinction, which helps this Pokemon’s Close Combat attacks hit even harder, while still giving it plenty of resistance to other Fighting-type Pokemon. The visual upgrade is a nice cherry on top for this once-outclassed bird, as it enjoys a healthy competition with Pidgeot as the most improved, thanks to its Mega Evolution
5
Mega Golurk
Mega Golurk gets one of the most shocking upgrades over its base form in the Mega Dimension DLC, as this defensive stalwart now has plenty of power packed behind its Dynamic Punch. At 159 Attack, this 35-point improvement makes Golurk a massive threat against most Pokemon, especially those who struggle to counter its unusual Ground and Ghost typings.
Immunities to Normal, Fighting, and Electric attacks are a huge boon to Golurk’s defensive capabilities, and it even resists Poison, Rock, and Bug-type moves, giving it plenty of staying power. Golurk might still have mediocre speed, but its improved offensive and defensive abilities make it stand out as one of the most powerful Mega Evolutions from the Mega Dimension DLC.
4
Mega Lucario Z
Lucario’s regular Mega form was already solid, but one of the most glaring incompatibilities was its focus on physical attacks, despite Aura Sphere, its signature move, relying on its Special Attack. Mega Lucario Z fixes this awkward issue, redistributing this Pokemon’s stats to emphasize its Speed and Special Attack stats.
At 164 and 151, respectively, Lucario’s Special Attack can inflict major damage with Aura Sphere, and its Speed ensures that you can attack multiple times before slower Pokemon have the opportunity to hit back. Unfortunately, Mega Lucario Z’s defenses are abysmal, so you’ll need to focus on dishing out damage quickly to dispatch the opposing Pokemon, or Lucario will suffer from return hits.
3
Mega Magearna
Mega Magearna elevates this Pokemon’s BST to an eye-watering 700, thanks primarily to its nearly unmatched 170 Special Attack stat, followed by impressive defensive stats at 115 each.
Magearna’s Attack stat also gets a decent boost, but this Pokemon should primarily be using special attacks to maximize its damage potential against Fairy-weak Pokemon.
Magearna even boasts a huge boost to its Speed, jumping from 65 to 95, although this aspect isn’t nearly as impressive as its raw offensive power. Steel and Fairy are fairly underrepresented types when it comes to legendary Pokemon, but Magearna makes a huge statement as the standout option for trainers in need of immense offensive power against Dragon and Fairy-types alike.
2
Mega Heatran
Mega Heatran also got a massive glow-up with a 100-point BST increase, led by its gargantuan 175 Special Attack stat, which improved by 45 points, eclipsing Magearna’s increase. Heatran isn’t lacking for options when it comes to special attacks, thanks to a plethora of Fire moves along with some solid coverage options, including Solar Beam, Earth Power, and Scorching Sands.
Its quadruple weakness to Ground-type attacks is still a massive liability for Heatran, though nine resistances and a complete immunity to Poison moves more than compensate for its unfortunate vulnerability. You won’t be blown away by its minor set of visual changes, but Heatran’s solid set of statistical improvements cement this Pokemon as one of the strongest new Mega Pokemon from Mega Dimension.
1
Mega Darkrai
Darkrai’s significance to the Mega Dimension DLC story is massive, but its impressive BST improvement is equally important. Mega Darkrai boasts the same 100-point BST increase as some of the other legendary Mega Evolutions, but this Pokemon features some of the most well-rounded stats of them.
While Darkrai’s 165 Special Attack falls slightly below Magearna and Heatran, Mega Darkrai comes complete with 130 in both of its defensive stats, making it a superbly tanky Pokemon, despite once only having a 90 in each category. Mega Darkrai is one of the most deadly offensive Mega Pokemon threats without sacrificing survivability, so don’t underestimate its staying power as one of the best new Mega Evolution additions.
