The first game from Day 4 Night, a team made up of ex Mario + Rabbids developers, has been revealed at The Game Awards 2025 – Bradley the Badger.

More than a year ago, Davide Solani and several other key members of the Mario + Rabbids team (as well as Red Dead Redemption writer Christian Cantamessa) left Ubisoft to form a new studio called Day 4 Night. At the time, it was announced that the team would be working on a brand-new IP as its first project.

Even though it’s not been that long since Day 4 Night formed, the team has already decided to reveal that original IP to the world with one of the most surprising and charming trailers of The Game Awards. That game is an incredibly self-aware 3D platformer called Bradley the Badger.

Bloodborne Reference Spotted

The trailer for Bradley the Badger revealed that it’s a 3D platformer that’s incredibly self-aware, as Bradley is shown going through worlds that are clearly inspired by games like The Last of Us, Cyberpunk 2077, and even Bloodborne. To make matters even more interesting, Bradley is being played by Evan Peters of Quicksilver fame, who even appeared in the trailer.

We didn’t get to see too much of Bradley the Badger, and the trailer didn’t have a release date attached to it, so it’s probably best to assume that it’s still a fair way off. Even so, that doesn’t stop it from being one of the more exciting reveals of The Game Awards, and something I won’t be shutting up about for the foreseeable future.
