Part of the fun of Goat Simulator 3 is collecting various Gears so you can dress Pilgor up in a plethora of pop culture references, from Gandalf to Skyrim, and everything in between. However, Gears aren’t just about making yourself look good, as plenty of them have practical uses too.
If you’re exploring San Angora, there are some specific Gears you should ensure you have unlocked to make your journey easier, with several originating in DLC packs rather than the base game. Here are the most useful Gears to have and how to get them.

How To Get |
Hidden behind a breakable wall in Rad Resort, just southwest of the volleyball pitch. You need to drive a car into the wall to gain access, and inside is an egg that you can break to get Rebecka. |
While there aren’t many occasions that Rebecka is useful, when you do need it, it can make short work of an otherwise tiresome chore: fetch quests with multiple items.
Rebecka can eat up objects (but not NPCs) and then spit them out on command. This means if you have an event where you need to deliver a bunch of items, you can collect them all with Rebecka rather than licking them up one at a time to deliver, rinse, and repeat.

Taco Tuesday!

Feet |
|
How To Get |
Picked up in Downtown near the Ay Caramba food truck towards the east side of town. |
The Taco Tuesday feet Gear allow you to jump further so you can reach higher places. You can also jump normally before using the Taco Tuesday Gear to effectively get a double jump.
If you’re falling from a great height, you can use these before you hit the ground (at a reasonable height); they’ll break your fall.
As this is just a case of finding and picking up the Gear, they’re super easy to get your hands on when you first start the game, so you can then make the most of having them.

Head |

How To Get |
You unlock this by completing the ‘Office Flipper’ secret event, which you can do by visiting the underworld area in the Mount Olympus part of the map. We have a guide on how to do this here. |
Use the ability button to unleash your anger, which sets Pilgor aflame, and when you headbutt, you also shoot out a fireball. This makes it easier when you need to destroy a bunch of items, which comes in handy for plenty of events.

Rocket Boots

|
How To Get |
Purchase from the Wardrobe tab for 7,500 Karma Points. |
The Rocket Boots can be used to rocket forward in the direction that Pilgor is facing to help you travel around faster. You can spam it in succession to go great lengths in a short time. Considering how large the map is, it’s useful to be able to travel a little more quickly, but it’s very difficult to steer while rocketing forward.
Sometimes the boots can even help Pilgor rocket through walls, which can be pretty helpful in certain situations.
However, you can’t use this ability again unless you are touching the floor, so you can’t use it to keep rocketing upwards into the air.

How To Get |
It’s found on the tallest mountain near Windtop, just north of the Goat Tower. |
The Paraglider is an easy gear to grab in the base game, as you just have to reach it and collect it. It’s fantastic for helping you travel if you’re already at a high altitude, which, given that San Angora has plenty of peaks and valleys and high buildings, means you’ll definitely have more than a few opportunities to make the most of this. Unfortunately, it isn’t much help if you’re already on ground level, as you need to be somewhere higher to be able to use it.
Fortunately, there are other Gears that you can unlock in DLC packs that help you fly around a bit better, which we’ll cover further down.

How To Get |
Collect all 60 Trinkets in the Multiverse of Nonsense DLC. |
Collecting all of the Trinkets in the Multiverse of Nonsense DLC takes quite some time, but the reward is well worth it. As well as getting the Galaxy Fur, you also unlock the Galaxy Horns, which allow you to send out a rift pulse so you can fly and reach higher areas. However, the downside is that it only lasts for a short period of time, so you need to be careful to ensure you don’t go plummeting down to the ground.
4
The Farmer

|
Gear Slot |
Goat |
|
How To Get |
Completing the base game storyline. |
Of course, completing the base game’s storyline has to give a good reward, right? Fortunately, you don’t need to 100 percent the game, just beat the story, and The Farmer will be yours.
While not as adorable to look at as Pilgor, The Farmer is useful because it can build a variety of objects. This can be incredibly helpful, as you can use him to build ramps to reach higher places.

How To Get |
Go to Rad Resort and purchase from Adventure Gear for 500 Scraps. |
This is a really easy gear to get in the Baadlands: Furry Road DLC, as you just have to buy it for 500 Scraps, but it’s really useful as it lets you propel yourself upwards in the air. It gains height well, but doesn’t move forward at a great pace, so it’s good for reaching higher places, but is not as effective for travelling around as the Flying Broom.
2
Mjolner
You can hold and release the ability button to throw your Mjolner hammer, and when you press the ability button again, you will jump to where your hammer went. This helps you effectively fly towards destinations, but you’re hopping as you have to keep throwing the hammer again.
Fortunately, with Mjolner, you don’t need to touch the ground to use it again, so you can use it in the air to keep flying towards your intended destination.

Flying Broom

Hocus Pocus Pack DLC |

|
How To Get |
Available immediately when you purchase the DLC. |
This is by far the most useful Gear to have in the entire game, as it lets you fly freely without restraint or any limitations. Having this makes travel so much easier, especially when you want to reach areas you can’t fast travel to.
Although you can’t use the Flying Broom to claim the Golden Wheels in the Baadlands: Furry Road DLC, you can use them to get close to most Golden Wheels, where you can then switch out to your motorbike and claim it, effectively giving you a shortcut.
