In case you missed it, this year’s annualized Call of Duty entry, Black Ops 7, is officially out in the wild. Unfortunately, things surrounding Black Ops 7 could not be any more negative, from its “Mixed” reviews on Steam (thanks to its sub-par campaign) to its sales, specifically in Europe where Battlefield 6 ate Call of Duty’s lunch and then some.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7’s Campaign Is The Worst Thing I’ve Played This Year
The single player campaign in Black Ops 7 is a profound waste of your time.
However, for the people that are playing Black Ops 7, things are seemingly fine, with some people actually enjoying the game. Case in point: this fan who discovered that the map “Imprint,” one of 19 BO7 maps available, actively tracks how many times players fall off the map to their unfortunate demise.
As first shared on Reddit, there’s a “Falls Today” counter that will go up whenever an in-game fall is recorded. As one user pointed out, there’s a place for up to four digits, meaning Treyarch and Co. have planned for an absurd number of falls, though it doesn’t look like anyone’s tested that counter out just yet.
“LOL? Now i have the urge to check it every time,” one user wrote on Reddit.
Same!
This Isn’t The First Map-Related Easter Egg In Recent Call Of Duty History
Last year, when Black Ops 6 was released, coincidentally, another Treyarch title, the map “Vault” had a diving board that was completely functional. As TheGamer wrote back then, “That means if you hit the jump button right at the edge, as you would jump on a real-life diving board, your player character will take a trip to the skies.”
“Just our Design team continuing the rich tradition of functional diving boards from Miami in Cold War ;),” a verified Treyarch developer wrote on Reddit.
Initially, many took the diving board as a means to getting quick kills on unsuspecting enemies by jumping above them and out of their sight lines. However, another user found that the diving board had enough power in it to boost someone to a balcony situated at a nearby building, allowing someone to escape a skirmish with ease.
It’s just one of the many kinds of Easter Eggs that have been found throughout Call of Duty’s history, one that will continue whether there’s positivity or negativity in the air.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 Has Fixed The Series’ Biggest Multiplayer Problem, But No One Cares
Skill-based matchmaking might be gone, but it doesn’t seem to have done the trick drawing players from Arc Raiders.
