Resident Evil Requiem is in a pretty weird spot at the moment, as while we’ve heard a bunch of stuff about the game from official sources and interviews, the most pressing questions about the game are still a mystery. Leon Kennedy’s involvement in the story has been the subject of intense speculation ever since the game’s reveal, and one of the key individuals behind that speculation is Resident Evil insider Dusk Golem.

He’s been sharing quite a bit of info about the game online, a lot of it unconfirmed right now, though he has been offering up some interesting tidbits that would be pretty cool to see if they’re true. For example, one of his most recent claims is that Resident Evil 9 Requiem already has DLC in development right now, despite the game not even releasing for another few months.
When asked by a Resident Evil fan about whether Requiem would have any DLCs, Dusk Golem claims that “at least one” in development for the game at the moment, and that he’s “heard about it a few times.” He goes on to claim that it will star Alyssa, the mother of base game protagonist Grace Ashcroft, who we’ve seen in trailers for Requiem itself. How she’ll tie into the story is a mystery, and Dusk Golem doesn’t go into any more detail.
Resident Evil 9 Requiem Reportedly Already Has DLC In Development
Of course, it’s worth taking things like this with a pinch of salt, especially with Dusk Golem. While he’s had a pretty impressive track record in the past, there’s still confusion over his claims about Leon Kennedy being a playable character, with Capcom repeatedly claiming that he’s not in the game. Sure, Capcom could be lying, but Dusk Golem also may have dodgy info. There are a lot of rumors and hearsay flying around about Requiem at the moment, so it’s definitely worth waiting for official announcements before getting hopes up.
That being said, it would be fairly surprising if Resident Evil 9 didn’t get any DLC, especially since Resident Evil Village got a fairly substantial DLC that let us play as Ethan’s daughter Rose. A similar DLC for Requiem that would let us play as Alyssa isn’t too far out of the realms of possibility, and if it’s revealed that Leon Kennedy will be a playable character, then the chances of this being real rise pretty significantly.
