Borderlands 4 has got a massive early discount as part of Amazon’s Black Friday 2025 sale. It’s over 30 percent off on PS5 And Xbox Series, and over 20 percent off on the unreleased Switch 2 version. These are just the early deals, as the actual sale starts on November 20. Expect more such deals to start popping up.
The game had a great launch, with a great reception from critics and fans alike. However, it was marred by a series of problems, out of which performance issues were the most glaring. The unintuitive UI and not-so-open world got a lot of complaints, but stuttering and crashing ruined the experience for many at launch.
Borderlands 4 Gets A Great Deal For Amazon’s Black Friday 2025 Sale
This is the second time that Borderlands 4 has got a massive sale. Just after a month of its launch, it got a 20 percent discount on Steam, despite Randy Pitchford saying it wouldn’t happen for a really long time. This was possibly due to the publisher, Take-Two, not being too happy with the number of copies sold.
Unfortunately for Gearbox, while the gameplay and story of Borderlands 4 are great, previous failures and launch issues put a dent in the number of copies sold during the launch window. Perhaps the publisher is now trying to balance that out by offering discounts on the game, which is still only about two months old.
While the endgame involves farming bosses and collecting legendary weapons, it looks like not many players are sticking around for too long after the campaign. While some new content would have helped, the Horrors of Kairos Halloween event wasn’t received well because it was barely more than a few new skins and weapons.
Gearbox does have some new content lined up, but the community is already starting to dwindle. Hopefully, the player count will once again skyrocket when Borderlands 4’s next major update hits. This Black Friday deal might be a good option if you want to buy the game for cheap and wait for the new content to drop.
