New Super Mario Galaxy Movie Leaks Give Us Our Best Look At Yoshi

If you thought Sunday was eerily quiet, then think again. In a rather fascinating twist, our first and arguably best look at Yoshi from the upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has been revealed. Oh, and it comes via a box of Pillsbury take-and-bake cookies!

No, really!

As first spotted on Reddit’s r/GamingLeaksAndRumours sub, a grocery chain seemingly inadvertently created a listing for some upcoming Yoshi egg cookies that will release alongside the movie. Except, it wasn’t just a listing, it also had the full package art, which go figure, has Yoshi right there.

Oh, but the leaks don’t stop there, either, as the back of the box has Bowser Jr.’s logo, all but ensuring that the little gremlin will be a major figure in the upcoming movie.

Over the course of history, there’s been a lot of unique and arguably weird ways for things to leak, but having one of the biggest mascots in gaming history leak on a box of cookies of all things certainly has to take the cake, right?

The cookies are supposed to retail at $4.99 for a 20 count, which doesn’t seem like that bad value, all things considered.

What’s more, somehow it isn’t the first time that the movie has had parts of it leak due to product collaborations.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Has Been One Leaky Faucet

Fans of Nintendo’s newly established cinematic world might recall that, after it was officially revealed that the sequel to the original The Super Mario Bros. Movie would jump forward all the way to Galaxy, it essentially confirmed a months-long rumor that had been leaked by deodorant.

That’s because someone spotted some cans of Old Spice spray deodorant that featured Yoshi, Mario and Luigi, along with advertisements for a Galaxy movie. Except, at the time it was hard to believe that Nintendo would jump all the way to Galaxy, so many dismissed it as fake. Yeah, about that…

And the leaks don’t stop there, either, because molds of a Bowser Jr. toy were also leaked online, essentially confirming that he’d be in the movie in some capacity. Those leaks were taken down by NBC Universal over copyright, further adding credibility to the rumors. Flash forward to today, and Bowser Jr.’s logo is part of the cookie box.

Feel free to take bets on where the next parts of the movie will leak from next. We’ve had cookie, deodorant and toy leaks so truly nothing is off the table.
